Good to see a young Palestinian scholar write on Balochistan. It is an old and natural bond, those who know the history BSO, also know that on each congress there used to be communiqué from Palestine. The kind of internationalism that we need to revive. Solid suggestions.

"Rather than having clientelistic relationships, we need alliances built among oppressed sections on an equal footing. From Catalonia to Palestine, Kurdistan to Balochistan and further – that is really important."

Why are protests against Israel not allowed in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, and why are protesters arrested?

The Baloch movement isn't as explicitly internationalist today, but during the heyday of thirdworldism it did look towards Palestine, just like almost all revolutionary movements did at the time. See excerpts below from Selig Harrison's In Afhganistan's Shadow 👇

A Palestinian writer wrote a piece on Israel's attempts to co-opt the Baloch struggle, in which he is asking Palestinians to build a close anti-colonial alliance with Baloch, but dimwits, including ARY, are distorting the message to suit their own agendas.

Baloch leader Dr. Allah nazar always mentions Palestine in his speeches. This video is from twenty years ago when he was a leader of a student organization. Here he is saying,
Our Baloch sisters should play a role in defending their homeland like Leila Khaled
I never claimed what Wajahat is trying to state in the below tweet and I wholeheartedly reject and condemn ARY's distortion of the article in this way.
The purpose of the article was to point out that Israeli & Indian propaganda efforts are weak & out of touch, that they do not represent voices on the ground, and that Palestinians should see through the propaganda and build regional anticolonial alliances with the Baloch mvmnt.

This is what the author of the article published on Al Jazeera has to say about your misleading tweet!

The attached tweet is a complete distortion of what it says in the article. I wholeheartedly reject it and apologise for it being used in this way.

The Baloch in Iran & Pakistan, Biafra in Nigeria, the Druze in Palestine & Syria, the Kurds in Iraq, all are cases of Israel adopting a divide and conquer startegy under the pretense of "protecting minorities," etc, but in fact only for the benefit of their colonial ambitions.

Salaam dear friends! I take great joy in sharing the news that I passed my PhD viva/defence yesterday.
It was a great honour to dedicate the last few years of my life to producing this humble piece of research, that I pray will serve not only the liberation struggles of Palestine and Kashmir, but also of all connected struggles against colonisation and its derivations everywhere.
