Very sad day for neuroscience in Australia. The Australian National University has announced its intention to shut down neuroscience at the same institution where John Eccles and his many collaborators did their ground-breaking work. #saveEccles

What an incredibly sad time for Australian neuroscience
It's disheartening to learn that the ANU is dissolving the Eccles Institute for Neuroscience and to cease all neuroscience courses/programs. A place I called home for the last 7 years, forming personal and professional relationships with leading experts in the field. #saveEccles

Sometimes for distressing ideas to sink in, we need to hear it in a familiar context. For those of us spending our whole lives in academia this individual story may drive the message home more than any news story. It's worth the 5 minute read. #BLM rothfelslab.berkeley.edu/202…
