Becoming a Multi-Domain Operations-enabled Alliance requires 32 Allies to synchronize their national capabilities, by aligning both military & civilian efforts while keeping operations coordinated across five domains: land, air, maritime, space & cyberspace.
@NATO_ACT is working with Allies to strengthen interoperability, improve civil-military coordination and ensure national capabilities can contribute effectively to collective operations.

The UK MoD has (finally) firmed up the contract, for a duration of 10 months (to 31 August 2027), to look into the possibility of integrating MBDA's ASTER 30 missile into MK41.
It will "inform strategic decisions on future capability
development and operational flexibility to reduce the
need for separate launcher solutions for different
missile types".
The Royal Navy hopes to standardize on MK41 post-Type 45, but with an eye to having the ASTER 30 (family) live on longer than the ship it debuted on.

And the world was watching.
From roughly 2km away, I managed to film some of this morning’s attacks on Dnipro. I’ve redacted anything that could be restricted, but I think it’s vital that the world sees Russian barbarism for what it is.
This week, the UN reported Russian crimes against humanity. Russia’s response? Keep bombing Ukraine’s energy facilities regardless.
And Russia holds a permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
Putin is making his intentions clear, leaving civilians facing winter without electricity, heating or water.
Make no mistake, there is no indication of a Kremlin preparing for peace. 🇺🇦

Russian satellite Kosmos-2612 has closed to 136 meters from Finland's ICEYE-X36. Earlier estimates put the gap at 90 km.
Moscow burned serious fuel and resources to change its orbit and run the Finnish satellite down. The apparent plan is to destroy it by ramming it.
ICEYE is the same satellite line Serhiy Prytula talked about buying for Ukraine. A Russian junk hulk is now stalking a NATO member's spacecraft in orbit, apparently with one goal in mind: colliding with it.
Well, that's just an opinion, I would say.
The facts tell something else.
Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.

No news for the realist, but important to grasp for all people who think investing in European defense is just a temporary inconvenience.
At the @WarsawForum, I asked Democratic Congressman Jim Himes what would change and what would remain the same in US-Europe relations with a new Democratic Administration?
Himes provided a pretty clear and realistic overview.
