Happy to report that my lab has k #NeurIPS2026 publications. Since k is a large number, this means we are doing a good job and our science is great. Many even say it is _the best_ science. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Übersetzt: „Polizei raus und fuck you.“
linksfraktion.berlin/themen/…
Schrader setzte im selben Monat die detaillierten Anfragen im Alleingang fort.
Was genau lief hier – und seit wann?

"A Mathematical Explanation of Transformers" is a recent paper that develops a rigorous mathematical framework for understanding the architecture behind Transformers and large language models.
It interprets the Transformer as a discretization of a continuous integro-differential equation, with self-attention represented as a non-local integral operator, layer normalization as a projection onto a constrained set, and feedforward layers and activation functions incorporated into the same mathematical framework, then uses operator splitting and numerical discretization to recover the standard Transformer architecture and extend the formulation to multi-head attention, Vision Transformers, and convolutional Transformers.
I've already shared several resources on the mathematics behind neural networks, Transformers, and LLMs, but there always seems to be something new and interesting to explore in this area.

Do you ever wonder how your country was sold out? Why the jobs left the rust belt and never came back? Why chinese companies get to outcompete American businesses through "engagement" on Chinese terms? Wonder why we never got an inquiry into Covid origins in Wuhan?
Elaine Chao is emblematic of the elite capture. She held appointments in CCP organizations while serving as Labor Secretary for the entire Bush administration and Transportation Secretary in the first Trump term. Oh and don't worry about her marriage to Mitch McConnell - he's only the most powerful Republican for a generation.
(Surprise surprise, he voted to support China's Permanent normal trade relations status with the US back in 2000)
Her family also happens to own a shipping company called Foremost Group, whose fleet is overwhelmingly oriented toward Chinese ports, whose ships are built in Chinese state yards, and whose financing includes Chinese government-linked loans. Campaign contributions and multimillion-dollar gifts flowed from that family into McConnell’s political world. Why would they want a trade war?
She is just the tip of the iceberg by the way. There are MANY MORE, and some who have already passed (like Diane Feinstein). US-China policy ran on a single script for decades until Trump broke the mold in 2016.

@ElaineChao held at least 4 Chinese gov't gigs, including in arms of a CCP intelligence agency, Chinese docs show

This literature makes people extremely angry and has engendered unlimited calls for retracting the studies.
But the results just keep replicating. They are highly reliable and highly predictive, far beyond virtually any other socially important findings in psychology.

This is one of the papers that economists frequently cite as having had a huge impact on their thinking about education.
The reason is:
The kids in these studies got better peers, better teachers, better schools generally, and they ended up testing no better.
That's powerful.

EXCLUSIVE: A Nigerian chieftain billed Medicaid more than $36 million, then snapped up luxury properties in California and built a magnificent palace in Abatete, Nigeria—including a golden statue of himself.

We've been using Lanyon to discover (and prove correctness of) new state-of-the-art discontinuous Galerkin algorithms for solving PDEs.
Just select an order-of-accuracy and (optionally) a polynomial basis, and have Lanyon search the space of possible modal DG algorithms until it finds one that provably works for your problem. Then have it generate an end-to-end proof of correctness, and an optimized implementation, all from the same spec. All in a few minutes, all with negligible inference cost.
It turns out: automated algorithm discovery is a lot of fun!
Come and read more about it in our updated Research Notes, or by visiting our GitHub. 👇
We've been having a lot of fun using Lanyon to perform automated discovery of new discontinuous Galerkin (DG) algorithms for discretizing PDEs. We're starting with simple linear and nonlinear advection problems, with some more advanced (and exciting!) examples on the way.
The workflow is simple: have Lanyon autonomously explore the space of possible modal DG discretizations (of any order of accuracy), while autonomously checking its work by attempt to prove various correctness properties of the modal reconstruction polynomials, surface terms, and volume integrals, as well as entropy stability properties of the underlying fluxes. Once Lanyon finds a new discretization that works, it generates an optimized implementation in C and starts autonomously running numerical simulations with it. It turns out that you can very quickly discover all kinds of weird and wonderful (but provably correct!) numerical algorithms this way, many of which go beyond the current state of the art. And we're only just scratching the surface of what is possible with formally verified numerics.
Even for these simple cases, the optimized implementations (for p=1 and p=2, i.e. second-order and third-order accuracy) span around 30,000 lines of generated C code and around 40,000 lines of generated Lean proof. But Lanyon completes the whole algorithm discovery task in a few minutes, and with less than a dollar in total inference cost. We've updated our Research Notes with some of these new algorithmic results, but stay tuned for more discoveries still to come. GitHub links and Research Notes below. 👇

well, I guess I have to look for a different hobby now:

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
Man beobachte die Entwicklung seit 2015. Hmmmm....
