My electricity in Bryanston is R15000, my water bill is R6000. That is what I pay including property rates and taxes. My property rates and taxes are higher then my consumption. Yet we have frequent power cuts, no water, disgusting filthy roads and properties thar are declining in Value. I live in Bryanston!!!

Ideally yes by the unemployment rate and 1 in 3 households depending on Social grants means a minimum of 1 in 3 cant afford to pay for services.

Cape Town is a well run city from public transport to it's clean. If they can turn Johannesburg around we all for it. I did not vote for them. We want a city like Cape Town we want our train stations fixed and trains running imagine you pay R70 a month for transport.

We hear that, then how are they expecting those services to be rendered? Also the highest concentration of taverns is in such areas..surely businesses operate where there’s buyers

Obviously there are people who have bridged and they should be dealt with. What I’m saying nna ke gore if there are people who are forced by their local government to pay electricity then everyone should pay regardless of whatever.

The people who are paying electricity are carrying the load of the non payers. Does that sound fair to you?? Stop being this stupid at your big age please.
