Professor Eduard Hovy just gave the most amazing snapshot as to how AI chatbots work to source their information in response to the question “How can we get students to identify the source material of responses from ChatGPT” #unimelb #aichat #teachingandlearning @MelbCSHE

Corneas with long-living memory T cells that patrol and fight viral infections have been observed, upending current thought and expanding our understanding of the eye’s immune response to infections. @SMuellerLab @UniMelbMDHS #Immunology → go.unimelb.edu.au/z6re

Great lecture by @CrabbBrendan discussing Malaria vaccines and interventions to our 3rd yr students. It’s mindblowing how long this process has been compared to COVID-19 vaccines. Goes to show the power of funding when solving a problem that largely affects the developed world.

Sat in on a lecture by @hypothejess covering infection control measures for #COVID19 and it was surreal to revisit the crazy times we had back in 2020 here in #melbourne

Introducing our new @UniMelbMDHS teaching staff member @JustKeiting to the joys of making hand plates to test the effect of hand hygiene on bacterial and fungal growth. Our hands get a nice warm agar soak in the process! 🦠🧫🧼👐

After years and years of hard work and many head scratches we’ve finally managed to get this paper out! Huge congrats to Sapna and @SMuellerLab. They’ve worked so tirelessly on this their immune responses probably took quite a hit. How? Read on 😉

Congrats @yannoudesbois and @SMuellerLab Great paper that has been in the works! Amazing to see it out!
Our new study is online. Just in time to finish 2020 on a good note. We describe how systemic inflammation impairs local immune responses and lymph node remodeling. Check it out here👇🏻 doi.org/10.1016/j.celrep.202…
