So after losing my bag for a week, @AmericanAir has now cancelled and refused to rebook the first flight in my itinerary back to Australia. What.
It's #July4th eve, so a friendly competition between @AmericanAir and @British_Airways . First to provide evidence of *anything* you've done to find my missing bag since last Thursday wins an #IndependenceDay customer service award (judged by me, your valued (?) customer). 🇺🇲🇬🇧
Still no bag, nor any contact from any of the now 4 (!) parties involved in a simple bag transfer. @AmericanAir I leave for Australia this weekend. Will you pay to transfer my bag to Melbourne if I don't receive it in Boston before then? 6 days now!
It has been six days without luggage. I leave for Melbourne in three days. Tick tock @AmericanAir
Neither have helped, but it's quite entertaining to see the customer service difference between the @AmericanAir prompt, chirpy but meaningless AI platitudes and @British_Airways delayed 'not my problem' (even though the bag was likely left at LHR between connecting BA flights).
On day 5 of a 10 day visit to Boston on the way home from Hamburg and @AmericanAir and @British_Airways still have no idea where my bag is. What's the plan when I fly back to Australia this weekend???
