🚨 Thomas Massie’s 8 articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth are a lot broader than just the Iran war. Hegseth kept fighting anyway. Then blew through the War Powers Resolution's 60-day clock, then the 30-day withdrawal window, and kept the war running for 7 months total. Article IV: Hegseth personally gutted the rules that protect civilians, then a school got hit. He tried to repeal the law requiring minimized civilian harm, cut casualty-tracking staff by ~90%, pulled military lawyers out of the process, and publicly mocked "rules of engagement" as weakness. Then on Feb 28, three Tomahawk missiles hit an elementary school in Minab, Iran. 156-170+ dead. Over 120 of them children. Article V: Turned suspected drug smugglers into military targets, no trial, no law enforcement. 67 boats, 221+ people killed, starting Sept 2025. Alleges survivors of strikes were finished off afterward instead of rescued. Suspicion of a crime became a death sentence with zero due process. Article VI: Went after a sitting US Senator for criticizing him. Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired Navy captain, said in a video that troops can refuse illegal orders. Hegseth's DoD responded with a formal censure letter threatening to strip his military rank and pension. A federal court had to block it. Article VII: Helped run an unauthorized operation to kidnap a foreign head of state. 200+ special operators, 150+ aircraft, to seize Venezuela's Maduro. 83 people killed in the process, including civilians. No congressional authorization, ever. Article VIII: Same illegal-war pattern in Yemen. 1,100+ strikes, 224 civilian deaths, no declaration, no authorization, and a required legal report filed late. It's a 34-page filing read into the Congressional Record by a sitting Republican member of Congress, seven weeks before the midterms. And the Speaker of the House's move, instead of letting his own conference vote on it, was to cancel session and run out the clock. They didn't debate it. They didn't vote it down. They made sure it couldn't happen at all.
