Sometimes, you just unfortunately miss out on an opportunity, but most times, there's a reason for where improvement needs to be made. Those who find success are able to look inward, realign and put in the work to increase their chance next time.
Tonight we said goodbye to the best CyberGamer LAN attendee that ever graced the studio.
We got to spend 11 years with Max, and he was such a good boy ❤️

Just a reminder to all my content creators out there, gifted collabs are great for you to showcase and build relationships with brands, however if that collab comes with a contract that asks you for usage rights, full ownership of raw content and timed deliverables, that is moving into PAID collaboration territory.
Your time and content is your only currency, do not let brands take advantage of that.

Here is my Twitch vertical streaming layout thought process
- Gameplay above webcam (less eye travel between my face and gameplay)
- Focus less on the Twitch experience and more on the Social media clip usage
- No important info in the red zones
- Captions central or on person
New Youtube video is out. This might be my best idea yet

PAX AUS 2025 was probably one of the most rewarding and validating experiences for me ever. I wanted to share and celebrate everything that happened - THIS IS A LONG ONE:
First of all @ANZCreators. Many months ago the team thought, "hey it might be cool if we had branded lanyards and name badges for the weekend so creators could find each other!" Due to us having no budget, this turned into one of the coolest collaborations with Red Bull Tetris. We handed out about 500 lanyards across the weekend and had the biggest PAX meetup I've ever seen (thanks for the photo @8bitElliott), followed by a casual mixer event.
The ANZ Creators gang continue to surprise and inspire, and I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you especially to @justkyledavid, Jordan & @roguecarls from @redbullau for their time and generosity, and to the ANZ Creators team @ZombiesLvBacon, @MoonlitCharlie & @hannabealla.
Next up, Overwatch 2! The community around this game SHOWS UP and it's bloody awesome! I was very lucky to put on the "You Think You Know Overwatch 2?" panel again this year with @dix0nm8, @Profound_Rice, and epic newcomer @MuttnikOW. It was a lot of fun discussion and trivia (with prizes thanks to @Blizzard_ANZ and @PlayOverwatch). We even had @aaronkellerOW send a welcome message which blew us away.
Thanks to Nic, @meganleigh_r & Kaedi for the support, as well as @Astrokerrie for saying yes, & @GenerOZity for having us on their stage.
The @UbisoftANZ party was spectacular, and a great chance to have some fun and celebrate R6 Siege's 10th anniversary with creators and players. They even gave me a trophy for being the community "Silly Billy" that I shall treasure! It was also a great excuse to meet up with the JCTN team led by @JudgeBrand and @Overlord717. Thanks to @elliebtea, @bvaughan6 & Dylan as well as the @REKTgn team who were working hard!
Also can we talk about the Twitch Community Meetup Party and Moondog? Congrats to all the state groups coming together for an epic event bringing @Twitch_ANZ streamers together for a night of connection.
Now for the soppy part. PAX is so special for me purely for the PEOPLE. They don't say "Welcome Home" for no reason - content creation is often an isolating experience and this is the event where the internet converges to get some face to face time!
I was so lucky to meet so many of you all over the weekend and I'm so grateful to all who came and said hello, and supported the activities I was doing this weekend. I really feel like what I'm doing is valued and I have made some lifelong friendships.
See ya next year... how on earth do we go bigger next time?

I am calling for Twitch to amend their guidelines for multi streaming.
It is hostile towards streamers that actually want to be on your platform and be a part of the community. The phrasing is far too vague and leaves the door open for streamers to be suspended simply for engaging with external platforms more than Twitch.
More specifically, the third guideline which prohibits displaying *any* activity from third party platforms needs to be removed. The way that it is written technically makes it permissible to suspend anyone even if they are just using tipping platforms like StreamElements/Streamlabs. That's insane.
It is ridiculous to say you allow multi streaming but then ask your creators to pretend like none of the other platforms exist. We should be allowed to combine chats on screen and acknowledge our viewers that support us even if they come from other platforms.
I get that Twitch doesn't want viewers leaving for other platforms, but rules like this show that you don't even have confidence in your own platform anymore.
Finally, if you say you're going to issue people a warning beforehand, actually do that. I shouldn't have to wake up to find my account suspended out of nowhere.
And if you actually managed to stomach this cringe wall of text, please share it around. I want to actually make a difference in this space.

Big news! We’re thrilled to announce that we've officially partnered with REZ , the performance supplement built specifically for gamers.🧠
⚡REZ isn’t just another energy drink, it’s a science-backed formula designed to boost focus, reduce eye and mental fatigue, and keep players in the zone for longer.
We’ve got some awesome things in the works and are super keen to get the ANZ gamers and community involved.
Interested? Reach out and we’ll be in touch 😎

To other streamers: I've been getting a lot of Twitter DMs lately from "brands looking to work together." I'm guessing you have too.
I tell them all, "Let me forward you to my management to talk!"
They respond, "Could we just do it directly with you over Twitter?"
If you get this reply, STOP. If someone is trying to get you to actively go around your management, that's as red of a flag as it gets. 98% of the time they just want a better deal going to you.
If they won't talk to your management, don't talk to them about business. They aren't respecting your choices or your value.
