Congrats @WillyRice on your election as the new President of the SBC. Thank you for your kindness to me and my family throughout this process.
I’m cheering for you, and I’m committed to praying for you as you lead our one sacred effort to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. #SBC26

If I have learned anything about the Southern Baptist convention in the past 12 months as first vice president, seeing the breadth of Great Commission ministry the convention does.
There are more Baptist doing gospel work then I can begin to conceive.
I praise God that we take the call to “Go” seriously.

Since our SBC meeting begins in a matter of days, I am praying for a unified spirit among the messengers. Let us handle the business in a Christlike way and celebrate what God is doing in Great Commission ministries.
This is so good!
IMB missionaries Josh and Madison Oakes were told it could take 100 years.
A decade later, a church is planted—and growing.

I am thankful for Dr. Mohler’s leadership and pursuit of clarity on this issue. I believe this adjustment offers much needed clarity to the credentials committee, and represents the vast majority of the SBC. I am glad the messengers will have an opportunity to speak.
The #SBC26 is one week away, I always look forward to our time together, and leave encouraged and excited about our work together. I hope you’ll join me in praying for our annual meeting in Orlando.
Join me…
Pray for a spirit of unity to permeate our gathering, even where there is disagreement, I pray that disagreement does not become division. We don’t have to agree on everything to love one another and labor together for the gospel.
Pray for a renewed zeal for the Great Commission. The SBC exists to help churches work together to make disciples of all nations. May every conversation, recommendation, and vote be shaped by that mission.
And pray that we would remember what is at stake. Together, we’re holding the rope for more than 4,000 missionaries serving around the world. What happens in Orlando matters because gospel work among the nations matters.
Finally, the SBC is at its best when the messengers are able to speak on the issues that are most pertinent to our work together at the time. I pray for @pastorclint as he leads our meeting and moderates our cooperative work.
May God give us wisdom, humility, conviction, and charity for His glory and the advance of His gospel. #SBC26

Great Commission people are people who SEND and GO, and this is clear evidence that Southern Baptists are truly a Great Commission people. @IMB_SBC @SBCCP
Every time I get to spend time with @Brianmfbc I come away encouraged. He is a great leader and friend. Pastors like him are the backbone of the SBC.

If we want to see our people grow, we have to move them from the pews to the mission field. 🤝
Sharing the gospel is the greatest spiritual catalyst there is. It forces a believer to rely on the Spirit, trust the Word, and develop a heart like Jesus'.

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
