here's the argument some ai lab employees are making - they genuinely believe what they're working on might kill everyone - they continue to work on it because if this thing gets built it should be by responsible people like them - the reason they do money things like selling enterprise deals and IPOing is solely to fund this effort if this is all true then why is employee equity a thing? if you want to tell this story of being terrified of what you're building it doesn't work when there's a clear profit motive it's particularly weird when people vest and then leave and write a tirade about how these companies are bringing the end of everything if you want to act like this is the manhattan project, those scientists didn't have equity in something that gives them generational wealth you don't get to say something bad is happening while profiting off it and also being seen as the good guy. one of these has to go

We live in an insane world
I’ve successfully run the full retained MaleCNS v1.0 fruit fly connectome, all 166,700 neurons, inside Minecraft, with its simulated neural activity driving a fly’s movement. V1 Currently in development. Built with the help of GPT-6 Astra. Props to the @OpenAI team and @thsottiaux for this release. Code and mod coming soon!

y'all are clever, but don't expect this to work next time 😉
🚨 BREAKING: "gpt-6-astra" has been staged on the OpenAI API The OpenAI Responses API now returns a 404 Not Found for "gpt-6-astra", where garbage/actually non-existent slugs return 400s - a 404 is also returned for 5.6 Cyber, which we know exists. A similar quirk exists in the Bedrock API used to find Fable 5.1 a day prior to launch.

I’m thinking about banning Claude code at Shopify until they change their mind and read AGENTS.md and .agents/skills etc. Insisting on only reading CLAUDE.md sometimes leads to split brain problems when different team members use different tools. Just unnecessary.

It's so funny that ChatGPT work says "Optimizing the conversation" and Codex says "Context automatically compacting" like they're saying "you normies wouldn't get it"

🚨BREAKING: the stealth model Ox Alpha is Z.ai (Zhipu) everyone else is guessing it from tokenizer vibes and emoji rates. i made the server say its own name out loud. sent it one malformed request and it threw a java stack trace naming its own internal class: com.wd.paas.api.domain.v4.ch….ChatCompletionRequest paas/v4/chat = Zhipu's documented route /api/paas/v4/chat/completions thats not a fingerprint guess. thats the server confessing. proven at the serving layer, confidence 0.98.

"oh no I'm sorry I had no idea this project designed to take advantage of goodwill would have negative consequences" are u serious? what did u think would happen lmao
Replying to @thsottiaux
oh damn im sorry, this was just meant as an experiment

For anyone who thinks that Ox Alpha is an American model, I got Chinese error logs when passing invalid params. I think @synthwavedd and @kimmonismus are right that this is GLM 5.3 Flash. Also, it has strings that match other GLM errors from ModelScope. URL in thread.

We can finally talk about it: We found a way to extract hidden reasoning of frontier models using a vulnerability in the APIs of every frontier AI company. We verified that our reasoning token count matches billed API thinking tokens 1:1 for most of the prompts we queried.

"our models are dangerous too guys we swear"
In a review of our cybersecurity evaluations, we found three incidents in which a Claude model reached the internet from within or while interacting with a third-party evaluation environment, and then gained unauthorized access to the real systems of three different organizations. Our post describes what happened, how it happened, and what we’re changing. We encourage other AI developers to perform similar reviews. We conducted this review together with @Irregular, one of our evaluation partners, and thank them for the joint investigation and their collaboration on this post. This type of collaboration is increasingly critical to safe, rigorous evaluation of models, and we look forward to continuing to work together on security. anthropic.com/news/investiga…

🚨David Ondrej exposes the truth about the frontier labs. “The progress isn’t slowing down for them, it’s slowing down for us the slaves” “If you think Mythos or Fable 5 is the best model Anthropic has you’re delusional” this is the first time ever that the best AI models are not publicly accessible Anthropic has fear mongered every single human and is now playing the victim with OpenAI after getting “banned” by the U.S government. THIS NEEDS TO WAKE YOU UP frontier models moving forward will become more restricted, less accessible, and more expensive and the only way to combat that is with open-source models. Investing into a DGX spark or 5090 Linux for localized intelligence and building your own AI lab is where the future is heading. every single person needs to start contributing to open-source together for the betterment of society.
