GOP Rep. Moore on Watergate: "Richard Nixon was absolutely couped out of office and was framed. All of this was fake."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Nixon was not couped, and Watergate was not fake. White House tapes released after a unanimous Supreme Court ruling proved he ordered the cover-up. Facing bipartisan impeachment, Nixon resigned voluntarily, and dozens of officials were convicted.

Has learnt tomorrow 3very church bell in france will ring out at 10am for 7 minutes to celebrate the arrival of the Pope.
That sounds like a fun thing
Interesting
The Holy See has rejected several requests from the Élysée Palace, President Macron regarding Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming visit to France.
Below are the rejected requests:
• The military welcome will be scaled back, with the Vatican asking that the Republican Guard and drums be avoided.
• The Holy See rejected the proposal to award the Pope the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour.
• During the Vespers Pope Leo XIV will celebrate at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, Emmanuel Macron reportedly wanted a few private minutes with the Pope inside the cathedral to show him the restoration work financed by France.
• The Holy See also declined a request for a state dinner or lunch with Emmanuel Macron.
The Vatican appears determined to keep the Pope’s visit focused on its pastoral and spiritual character, rather than political ceremony.

In 1871, cows were abandoned on a remote subantarctic island. More than a century later, their descendants had grown into a wild herd of thousands, surviving generations of isolation in one of the harshest environments on Earth.
The story began when a French farmer named Heurtin attempted to establish a settlement on Amsterdam Island, an isolated volcanic island in the southern Indian Ocean, roughly 2,750 miles southeast of Madagascar. The settlement failed within months, but five cattle were left behind.
With no farmers, fences or livestock management, the cattle survived and reproduced. By 1952 their population had reached roughly 2,000, a number reached again in 1988. Scientists later confirmed genetically that the enormous herd really could be traced back to the tiny founding population.
Their success came at a cost. Grazing damaged native vegetation and threatened habitat used by the extremely rare Amsterdam albatross. Conservation authorities eventually removed the cattle, with the last animals eliminated by 2010.
The five abandoned cattle underwent an extraordinary physical transformation. Within roughly a century, their descendants had become significantly smaller-bodied, an example of rapid “island dwarfing” occurring in only about 20 generations.

The French made a short film about what could happen after all immigrants would follow the ‘_white, angry old man’s_’ advice to go back where they came from.*
