I'm proud to be a female author in education. I'm grateful for the people that have influenced & inspired my thinking & practice, I'm grateful for the readers that have taken time to read my book(s) & those that have left a review or given me direct feedback. Headship isn't for me, my career progression isn't the traditional leadership route & that's great because it's what works for me & my family. ❤️
I have completed two manuscripts, they are now with the editors. I have another manuscript I'm co-authoring that is almost finished. I really enjoy writing about education from evidence to practical examples & strategies. I will share more about my upcoming books soon! 👏😄

🧵Following on from @adrianweckler article in the @Independent_ie yesterday I decided to act as an #lceconomics student using the paid version of @ChatGPTapp looking for help prepare some diagrams for a research study (currently worth 20%) of the #lceconomics exam or to revise.

This is the single most important thing many teachers still need to do to increase thinking, and tackle passive learning. Two things have made my practice more effective: 1. Ensuring I prepare good questions in advance. 2. Using random name selector on GC so I catch all.

Both of these things help reduce my own cognitive load in the lesson so I can focus on the content, how I deliver the question (clearly, pause, to all), and how I orally model the types of answer I want to receive.

I'd love to visit some schools who've designed and implemented a knowledge-rich curriculum. Any recommendations?

I am certainly not suggesting I don’t have some small financial/profit motivated skin in the game (I think it’s OK to earn a few pence from a few Amazon books, or a few quid tutoring here and there, or a solid loss on my Etsy Canva template 😂😂😂)….

… but I am definitely primarily here (and everywhere) to share what I know about economics and how to teach it, and other stuff, for the benefit of students, teachers and society at large!! And thus I felt gagged by this growing business with their move in blocking me. 🤐
