1.8” on these beans from Sunday and Monday rains = likely $50+ per acre net return. Invested heavily in this piece this year and looking like it will pay off! Not all our acres received rain but feel very blessed for what we got!

00z ECMWF pushes the axis of heaviest rain late Thursday into Friday from Ortonville to Hutchinson to the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. Hinting at some 1-3"+ amounts, which would put a minor dent in our expanding drought. Not much relief up north.

Be sure what is in (or not in!) your fungicide surfactant! Some individuals are calling for fungicide applications to begin now... Prior to tassel fungicide applications made with a surfactant must be APE/NPE FREE!!! If your surfactant has APE/NPE in them, a before tassel application could likely result in arrested ear syndrome, causing very large yield losses!!! Be sure to check what you are applying if you are going before tassel! On a side note, I do not feel fungicide applications should begin now in the geography that I cover.

We’re plenty good on moisture in WC MN! Crop does look great for the most part. Some hail and few issues here and there but very good start compared to the last couple of years (extremely wet) here!

Sadly, I've already heard a couple of instances this season where growers had mixing issues with their Enlist 1 and Glyphosate. Both involved induction systems that didn't get a proper rinse of clean water between concentrates. @PioneerSeedsCA #spraysafe

If corn can separate from wheat, we probably get a 10-20 cent recovery. Didn't have July corn challenging contract lows on my bingo card.

Minus the wind / dust and cold temps I’ll take this year 10/10 vs continual wet late April - May! Dry winter and 1.5-2” in last 4 weeks in WCMN and still need a couple more days for some of our ground to truly shape up to plant.
