Sports media is still completely mystified why hockey players care about all star games and pre season games.
It's because they are the only professional athletes who have invested personal pride for the least amount of money.
Pre season hockey is more entertaining than the regular season NBA.
Hockey players are the last professional athletes who actually care about their sport.

We just announced the wide release of the all-new Fanmaker. Built from the ground up with new web interfaces, new iOS app, new Android app, new SDKs, and new API. Details on our blog. blog.fanmaker.com/the-all-ne…
What’s really exciting is that we started this project in January, launched the first client in February, and dozens more in March. We then iterated and fixed bugs to get us to today.
Soon we will also launch our new admin CMS, now in beta, also created from scratch this year.
This means in less than 6 months we have rebuilt all of Fanmaker, front and backend.
We did this all with our development team of 3, while supporting our legacy system and a dozen integration projects. Realistically the work was done with 1 developer’s worth of time.
In early 2025 I made Fanmaker an AI-first company and initiated several changes. To their credit the team adapted quickly. In 2026 we went all in on an agentic workflow and 25x’d our productivity. Today’s announcement is a testament to that.
We see no signs of this progress stopping 100x is in sight.
All gas, no brakes.
Take this as a warning: if you are a software company in our sports vertical and you are not adapting, instead choosing to stay big, bloated, and slow… we’re coming for you and your customers.
