This is an incredible achievement by President @realDonaldTrump that is not receiving anywhere close to the media attention it would get if it was any other President who had done it.

i was a lifelong Democrat—voted Obama, Obama, Clinton, Biden. i spent most of my life on the left, fully convinced that the right was evil, that republicans were selfish and racist, and that leaving the party was basically selling your soul
so it’s funny when libs now tell me “you don’t understand the left.” like bro, i didn’t just understand it—i lived it. i defended it. i believed in it. i was all in
i held on for a long time bc i was so brainwashed into thinking the right was this monstrous force that wanted to burn the world down. but eventually, reality cracked through the narrative. and once i really saw it, i couldn’t unsee it
what really stands out to me now is how ashamed the left made me feel about being American—kind of in the same way they teach white people to feel guilty for things they had no part in. it’s a worldview built on guilt, on self-loathing, on the idea that success, pride, and strength are all somehow bad
but the irony is, i’ve never felt more patriotic in my life. never felt more connected to the actual values this country was built on—freedom, self-reliance, resilience
i didn’t leave the left because i “changed”—i left because they did
so when people tell me i don’t understand the left, i have to laugh—bc i probably understand it better than they do. i know exactly what i walked away from

MAHA: Take a deep breath.
RFK Jr.’s measles op-ed is not the disaster 𝕏 is making it out to be.
He wrote: “By 1960—before the vaccine’s introduction—improvements in sanitation and nutrition had eliminated 98% of measles deaths.”
Everyone is focused on his promotion of the MMR vaccine, but remember two things:
1. No other HHS Secretary would have acknowledged that measles deaths were virtually eliminated before the vaccine—not because the vaccine …
… or that “good nutrition remains a best defense against most chronic and infectious illnesses.”
2. Big Pharma is still one of the most powerful/influential entities in the US, despite the fact that we have an HHS Secretary willing to stand up to them for the first time in our lifetimes.
This is a marathon, not a sprint.
You should absolutely push back on the false notion that the MMR vaccine is responsible for slashing measles deaths since the 1960s.
But you should also celebrate that for the first time, we have an HHS Secretary who promoted good nutrition and Vitamin A as the best defense against illness, said “the decision to vaccinate is a personal one,” and disputed the idea that the measles vaccine is responsible for the significant drop in measles deaths.

A Newsweek reporter asked RFK Jr. "why he doesn't stop promoting conspiracy theories".
This was his reply:
"My father told me when I was a little boy that people in authority lie and the job in a democracy is to remain skeptical. I've been science-based since I was a kid. Show me the evidence and I'll believe you, but I'm not going to take the word of official narratives."
"The way you do research is not by asking authoritative figures what they think. Trusting experts is not a feature of science, and it's not a feature of democracy. It's a feature of religion and totalitarianism."
