Let's see if this gets blocked. Anyway, hit me up there.
I can vouch that Ed is a truly welcoming person to all.
There’s a lot of grognards who aren’t. He is. Glad he cleared the air.
Unfortunate tweets are the fail vs Wis checks we all fear.
VR and AR and AI people.
You have access to a college lab. 10 x 3080 laptops and modern headsets and 4x 4090 PCs
Motion Capture system(noitom)

Projectors.
You have $20k what else do you want? What skills are needed?
Y’all. This podcast never disappoints.
It’s very nsfw. It’s funny. I learn things. It’s very well researched. They provide sources! It’s alignment is wholesome-naughty.
In this week's episode, @SovereignSyre and @ElaDarling share the troubling story behind the iconic image of Sharbat Gula, photographed as a child during the Soviet–Afghan War.

Over the next few days, I’m going to be sharing some pro-tips about Apple Vision Pro and Spatial media. I’ll add them below this tweet, so bookmark it to come back to it.
I have been known to horse around a little bit, but this one is for real with zero foolin’, I promise🙏🏽 – at Paradise, NV
Winter session is so chill. This is how college should be all the time. Students hanging out talking about big ideas they have, trying new things. They have time to breathe and reflect. Universities need to build in more time like this.
They are not being unproductive! Today I’ve had discussions about embodied robotics projects, a VR app the club is building to deter drunk driving, set up 3 student events.
It’s 2024. Our goto device is still the htc vive, it’s the Nokia phone of hmds.
VIVE, DAS, Wireless Adapter, Index Controllers.
Still good.

Funny how many of us in “cutting edge VR” love retro.
I’m in! I need to play the first one too.
Hey, on the plus side, he referred to immigrants as people and not as poison like his good buddy Trump.
But yeah, Greg, shooting people seeking a better life. That’s a bad look. Maybe rethink that.
I know some lovely people in Texas but man, Texas government is scary bad.
When smart talented people start a project that's the same idea you had just been talking about, it's a good thing even though it makes ya wince a bit. I should moved faster. lol. But honestly, I'm going to follow and hopefully contribute to this project.
OPEN SOURCE! WOOT!
Why wait for someone else to productize your life? With open models and readily available wearable hardware, you can accelerate your cognition right now, That's why @EthanSutin and I are launching a fully open source project to build an ambient smart assistant system that listens to and observes your life, endowing you with super human memory that's fully in your control.
Please reach out to either of us if you're interested in pushing the boundaries of always-on AI. We're going to launch with off-the-shelf inexpensive hardware you can turn into a necklace, pin, or any wearable form factor you want. It also works with amazing hardware you may already have, such as the Apple Watch.
Expect more next week, including a GitHub repo. We will be building in public.
So, if you haven't done it and you're a pro gamer type, you might think 'hey that's nice grandpa'. Sure kid Sure, but hear me out. It's SO SATISFYING. It's like Lego meets a detailed model with chill music. You're not going to get a K/D ratio from it but you'll enjoy it.
The M20 Tamerlane puzzles are beautiful - the higher the piece count, the bigger the final puzzle.
Great way to see all the little details, some of them are just mesmerizing! 🤯

45 people turning out for SVVR meetup next week (so far). Usually we don’t hit that until the day before. At this rate it’ll be 100.
Come to the meetup. It’s fun, good talks, neat demos and people there ALL have interesting stories to tell.
I love you all(the people I know here) but at some point, we gotta deal with the fact that the owner of this site is literally a bad human being.
This Post is from an account that no longer exists. Learn more
We should hang out!
Come join us at the meetup on Jan 18!
