What an appalling display of ostentatious wealth.
Finishing touches ahead of this eveningโ€™s State Banquetโ€ฆ โœจ ย  Tonight, The King and Queen will host a State Banquet for the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle. ย  โ˜•๏ธ Inspired by the Omani ritual of Kahwa, a collection of special teas will be served. ย  While Kahwa is traditionally a spiced coffee, the concept has been adapted to draw on the long-standing British love of tea while preserving the aromatic spices and flavours that make Kahwa so distinctive: fragrant cardamom, delicate rose, sweet dates, and gentle warming spices. ย  Guests will be invited to choose from an Iced Earl Grey & Date, an Iced Mint & Rose, or a Warm Cardamom-Spiced Blend sweetened with Windsor Honey. ย  Together, they reflect the warmth and hospitality shared by both Omani and British traditions. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฒ

The royals are parasites. They have more than enough to live on, to pay for their own expenses and protection etc. We do not need them sucking much needed wealth from this country while people are in need of basics!!!!
If we can't afford a decent basic standard of living for everyone in the UK, if we can't afford a basic pension, or help for disabled people, we can't afford to pay for helicopters to be used like Ubers for the royals.

A man suddenly approaches a group of street musicians and asks, โ€œCan I play with you? Iโ€™ve got my pan flute.โ€ When they ask what he wants to play, he chooses Vivaldiโ€™s Winter from "The Four Seasons"โ€”one of the most difficult pieces there is. And then he leaves everyone around him in awe. On the pan flute, Michel Tirabosco delivers an incredibly skillful performance, with remarkable breath control and emotion. Even though this was a planned flash-mob-style setup, the real talent of the musicians and the pure joy they bring still move people deeply. A beautiful moment of music, connection, and limitless passion.

Watched 45 minutes of #bbcbreakfast and still no mention of ITV documentary about Reform. What a surprise, would normally have a 10 minute speech by Mason if this was about Labour.

The shocking thing about the @ITV Reform exposรฉ is that I wasn't shocked at all, it showed the root & branch Reform members to be exactly as I thought them to be, vile, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic bigots. The actual shocking thing will be that people will still support them

Children are being bullied at school because their parents risk their lives to save people at sea. This isnโ€™t the Britain we believe in. Farage and his ilk have a lot to answer for.

The Sovereign Grant to the King doesnโ€™t count as taxable income. Payments by the state to Britons, such as the state pension, carerโ€™s allowance, contribution-based jobseekerโ€™s allowance, and contribution-based employment and support allowance are taxable. leftfootforward.org/2026/10/โ€ฆ

The Royal Family supposedly unites the nation, yet canโ€™t even unite themselves. What kind of symbol of national unity is built on family division, public funding and inherited privilege? If their only common ground is protecting their own interests at public expense, thatโ€™s not unity. Itโ€™s a racket dressed in a crown. #AbolishTheMonarchy

They closed a car park, locked the gates to 150 acres of public forest and kicked local children out of an outdoor learning space just for their private luxuryโ€”and now sheโ€™s making videos about an 'epidemic of disconnection' from screens. The hypocrisy is completely unhinged!

I am so tired of Brexit morons trotting out this lie. Itโ€™s pure crap, and has been shown to be such for years by countless experts. Itโ€™s embarrassing to be so ignorant, and publicise the fact.
Left: Conservative Mims Davies claims we got the covid vaccine because we left the EU Right: Dr June Raine says UK vaccine program ran while the UK was still legally within the EU and under EU law My view: Every time a Brexit politician claims Britain got the Covid vaccine first because we left the EU, they run into the same inconvenient fact: we were still bound by EU law when the vaccine was approved. The UK authorised the Pfizer vaccine on 2 December 2020. The first vaccinations followed on 8 December. The Brexit transition period did not end until 31 December, so EU law still applied. And MHRA chief executive Dr June Raine said the approval used Regulation 174, a provision under European law that remained available until 1 January. The UK had left the EU politically in January, but that did not mean it had escaped EU rules by December. The early approval came through a regulatory route available under those rules. Brexit politicians are taking credit for a decision made while those rules still governed us, and the regulator was explaining exactly that. That is what makes this claim so shameless. They take a genuine achievement by scientists, regulators and the NHS, erase the legal timeline, and sell it as proof Brexit delivered something it did not. It wasnโ€™t Brexit that made the vaccine possible. The official responsible for authorising it said the legal basis was European law.
