Does all the new infrastructure coming on board, increase risk in case of military attacks? In my opinion yes and we need to scale the military complex as well. All new projects should commit a small % towards military industry. Should inhouse manufacture drones, shells etc

Grok is wrong. Lamu port cannot yet offload bulk lpg
Yes it makes sense. Red Sea risks delay ships to Djibouti, so LPG sometimes lands in Mombasa and trucks north via Ethiopia (Moyale-Dire Dawa). That long haul exposes regional logistics gaps. Lamu offers deeper water for big tankers plus the LAPSSET corridor closer to Ethiopia, which is why Dangote picked it for the refinery. Djibouti is coastal, yet its Gulf of Aden access stays more exposed.

We are moving to an age of micro manufacturing. In a couple of months or say a year ai will be capable to generate CAD models. Now whether the products make sense or not we are yet to see. There will be a renaissance for machine shops, small foundries. Today drafting, modelling, FEA is engineering heavy and out of reach for nearly 99% of the global population. Imagine a world where any product you think of can be designed, analysed, iterated to engineering sense in less than a day. We are going to be bombarded by user designed products and someone has to manufacture them in small runs. China is set up for huge orders with minimal iterations , we are heading towards small orders will many iterations. Small Machine shops, foundries, 3D printers all these will grow by factor we cant even imagine today !

1st job i got as a trainee. for 3 yrs all we did was to design, redesign, cost, plan for a usd 22m plant. No one outside the project team and ceo knew the details. feasibility studies had been done for almost a decade. Wouldnt be suprised the lamu refinery was birthed like a decade ago
Geoffrey Wandeto: The speed at which this investment is moving is leaving a lot of people with questions. Because of the magnitude of the project; a Ksh. 2trillion investment, you'd expect that certain processes would have been followed #CitizenDayBreak

Ok.. am tired of seeing poor welds. who want's to learn how to tig weld ? Not for certificate but for your diy projects. It's necessary for builds when it comes to stainless steel pieces or just thin'ish sheets. F*ck might even through in mig welding
Extremely lucky to have been entrusted with greyhound Let's see what comes out of it in a few days.

Thermodynamics is a bitch. 39% efficiency seems low. In real life it's great! Probably shy off the best by a few marks.. still way off the carnot limit. We'll probably not see much change for the next 100 years on that number
We are aiming to make Superpower the best mid-size turbine on the market: - 42MW even at 110F ambient - Always waterless! - Deploys rapidly on four modular trailers - Competitive simple cycle efficiency 39% - Deploys in N+1 arrays for high availability scalable power

Fun fact; you can spend millions on this or you can buy some junk and spend millions to build something as awesome... and have loads of fun while doing it

Seen people saying Twiga grew too fast... isnt the point of any business to grow? I mean sounds stupid to me to intentionally go slow.

The fun part with a more capable pajero is eating climbs below 2200 rpm and still feel the gears upshifting like you hardly doing a thing... many a cars have become smaller and smaller on the side mirror
