Maybe I need to change my handle to JohnsUnderwaterSignals.
Happy and excited to finally be working with @_Andrenam_ and @mateocernosek .
So much so I ***surfaced*** for my yearly tweet (are they still called tweets?)

Might get it framed myself. Nice work @neelkunjur!
Having personally downlinked a lot of cool pics from space, this one takes the cake.
Immensely proud of our team at @K2SpaceCo
Another old one I found...
I feel validated. And attacked.
Always use the right tool for the job folks!
Of course that’s your contention. You’ve never given much thought to ground stations at all until you’ve received the AWS bill from your first satellite you launched 3 weeks ago. Now you’ve read CNBC’s “Disney star launches satellite data startup” and so now you are absolutely convinced that phased array technology is a key to completely revolutionize space data transmission, but before that, you thought that as access to space becomes commoditized the best way to drive connectivity prices down is to utilize economies of scale across a broad deployment of parabolic antennas, which will only last till next week when you’ll consider international licensing requirements and hope that your provider serves “seamless, cell-phone like handover”, which again will only last till your next industry convention where you will buy in the argument that “optical communication is the next big thing” and go back to your team suggesting you go all-in on optical downlink with no RF back-up.
What are we building at AnySignal?
1) An RF platform touching every layer to maximize performance and probability of mission success.
2) An amazing team of system thinkers and builders.
3) A Culture that builds on with first principles and ships.
I'm excited to start sharing more about the successes we've been stacking up, quietly.

Guess we couldn't keep this a secret forever
The future is being built in nondescript warehouses in El Segundo
@RainmakerCorp @anysignalinc @JohnsSignals
Not sure i missed this
But 100% truth
Also super helpful if you're not 'escaping' from space into a field that is going to be utterly dominated by Starlink (ie. in-flight connectivity)

Another way is to escape the space trap. For example, Anysignal targets market way beyond the 300 or so smallsats per year, which makes them much more feasible as a VC backed components business
Data budget is up and to the right 📈
Mira’s serving up space views. 🌎
LEO Express-2 is progressing smoothly, with healthy uplink and downlink established and all systems performing within expectations.

The only thing I see is wasted link margin. We should convert this into something more useful 🤔
Props to those who understand my cryptic RF posts and know where I'm going with this..
Also, apologies for going quiet folks. Have been heads down building! Tons of great updates coming soon!
I've never felt stronger that integrity is the most important characteristic to help us forward as a community, a country, and a species.
There's no room left for us to compromise on our most important values.
I agree @SciGuySpace - freakin' amazing what they've accomplished - on their first vehicle no less!

Like that crisp, live feed of #Starship re-entry?!
That's in part thanks to the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System link built by @JohnsSignals & team while at SpaceX.
He's now bringing that capability to the broader A&D market via AnySignal's modern comms stack 🛰️🙌

This has never been seen before — live video of reentry, thanks to the Starlink terminal on Starship! 🚀 📡 🛰
As it reenters the atmosphere at high speed, the 18,000 heat tiles on Starship protect it from heat, and the plasma you can see here interrupts radio links to the ground. This is the nail-biting blackout period experienced with Apollo and all prior orbital reentries. The Starlink terminal is on the other side of Starship, and connects upward, to the Starlink satellites orbiting in space, providing live video and data during the reentry period.
