A statement on yesterday…..
Everything I said in that interview was true. However, rest assured I’m doing my best to turn things round.
I have been in a mental health clinic for the last 10 weeks, finally discharging so I could attempt to play in Belfast
I owed that to my family, in particular my daughter to see me play for what could be the last time….. I also owed it to the fans who have supported me throughout my 21 years on tour
I also owed that to World Snooker who have been amazing from day on in all this, in particular Simon Brownell and Neil Tomkins who have remained in touch regularly, even Simon paying me a visit in the clinic itself
I’m not ok, but I’m ok in that itself. I’ve been much worse in the last few months than you saw yesterday. I literally didn’t see a future in anything…..
My daughter kept me going, the therapists, staff and all the other patients were amazing and helped me through some really dark days
I see the light now that I couldn’t see before but I do now. I also know it won’t happen overnight. I’m a work in progress!!! My fight and determination on the table has always been there for ones to see. I need to show those same fighting qualities off it now for a while
Please don’t detract anything from Jordan yesterday, he’s been aware of my struggles and that can’t have been easy to play in but he handled it with grace and skill as I knew he would. Im proud to call him a friend
I hope the rest of the event is a success and I will continue my treatments going forward and then see what’s ahead
Thank you to every single message I have received on here, instagram, Facebook, text messages and WhatsApp’s, I’ve seen them all but a bit overwhelmed to reply right now. Just know that they have helped me a lot but I’m not going anywhere just yet!!!! I have so much to live for and this is only the beginning of my new journey
Also, I was not made to do any interviews, I was simply given a choice and felt I owed it to everyone to speak. The media team at WST have been incredible through all this too
Thank you all x

I knew Gorton & Denton was rigged.
Hannah Spencer’s campaign manager today being revealed in The Times to have broken the law by forging deals with mosques just confirms what I said at the time.
When the BBC’s Chris Mason asked me immediately after the result what happened I said it in one word:
“sectarianism”.
People said I was a bad loser. But look at what they are literally telling us themselves.
They rigged the election with local mosques.
We were told early on that “deals had been made” with the mosques.
I saw the “community elders” in action myself.
Then we watched the Greens campaign in different languages.
Whip up tensions between Hindus and Muslims.
Obsess over Gaza.
Call anybody who disagreed with them “far-right” and “divisive”.
Hannah Spencer even downplayed Islamism, suggesting during one hustings that “right-wing politicians” were responsible for the Islamist bombing of Manchester, in 2017.
All journalists saw was the weird dress sense and thought “nice fluffy Greens” and they didn’t ask any more questions.
They failed to tell the real story of that campaign.
Then we got the independent report showing 68% of polling stations experienced illegal family voting, which is what happens when a Muslim father or husband tells their entire family how to vote.
Did the Greens call any of it out?
Of course not.
They denied it all.
So did Greater Manchester Police.
But then the election interference became so unavoidable they had to start arresting people two months after the by-election.
And then the Mail uncovered similar election interference in FIFTY polling stations in Birmingham.
I’m glad I got to run in that by-election because at least I got to tell the British people the TRUTH about what is happening in our country.
Wake up people.
The Greens are extremists.
They are antisemites.
They are unBritish.
And they are a Trojan Horse for Islamism and Muslim sectarianism.
Just look at their latest racist vote at conference, to deny Jews a homeland of their own.
And how did Hannah Spencer vote?
While some Green MPs opposed it, she’s not said anything about it.
No doubt the mosques pulling her strings have aired their view.
The Greens are a major threat to our democracy and country.
They must be stopped.

"Josh Allen is the best player on the planet right now. ... It's hard to say this, but he's the indefensible quarterback right now."

Today we remember Surgeon Captain Rick Jolly OBE RN, the Royal Navy doctor who became one of the most respected medical officers in British military history and the only serviceman from the Falklands War to be decorated by both Britain and Argentina.
Richard Tadeusz “Rick” Jolly was born in Hong Kong in 1946 to Polish parents who had endured Japanese internment during the Second World War.
Educated at Stonyhurst College, he went on to study medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in London, qualifying as a doctor in 1969. After working as a junior doctor, he joined the Royal Navy in 1972, beginning a career that would eventually place him at the centre of one of Britain’s most famous military campaigns.
During his naval service, Jolly served with the Royal Marines, the Fleet Air Arm and in a variety of operational and training appointments. One of his most important pre-war roles was as Medical Officer to 42 Commando Royal Marines, gaining invaluable experience in field medicine and operational deployments.
By 1982 he was serving as the Senior Medical Officer of 3 Commando Brigade, responsible for the medical support of thousands of Royal Marines and soldiers deployed to the South Atlantic.
During the Falklands War, Jolly established and commanded the field hospital at Ajax Bay, housed inside a disused refrigeration plant overlooking San Carlos Water. The hospital quickly became known as the “Red and Green Life Machine”, named after the colours of the Royal Marines and Army personnel serving there. Working under constant pressure, often with limited supplies and under the threat of Argentine air attack, Jolly and his team treated more than 1,000 casualties, including around 300 Argentine wounded.
Remarkably, of the 580 British battle casualties who reached Ajax Bay alive, only three later died and none died under Jolly’s direct care. Friend and foe alike received the same treatment, earning the respect of everyone who passed through the hospital.
For his actions during the campaign, Rick Jolly was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). Years later, the Argentine government learned just how many of their soldiers had survived because of the work carried out at Ajax Bay.
In 1999, they awarded him the Order of May, one of Argentina’s highest honours. This made him the only veteran of the Falklands War to be officially decorated by both sides of the conflict. When he sought permission from Queen Elizabeth II to wear the Argentine medal, she personally approved the request.
Jolly remained in the Royal Navy until 1996, retiring as a Surgeon Captain after 24 years of service. In retirement he became a passionate advocate for veterans, helping to found the South Atlantic Medal Association and campaigning for greater recognition of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among former servicemen and women. He also wrote several books, including The Red and Green Life Machine, which remains one of the most important first-hand accounts of medical operations during the Falklands War.
Surgeon Captain Rick Jolly died on 13 January 2018 at the age of 71. His legacy endures not only through the hundreds of lives he helped save but through the example he set of professionalism, courage and humanity in war.

Legendary Scottish knight Sir William Wallace, famously portrayed by Mel Gibson in Braveheart, was hung, drawn and quartered on this day 721 years ago for high treason.
Admired as a national hero for leading a fearless fight against English rule, for defying the odds, and being widely known as the most famous underdog story in history.
Braveheart may not be historically accurate, but the real story of William Wallace is still one to be remembered for the rest of time.

Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime. I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities, such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life.
Most of all, I am thankful to the President for entrusting me with the distinct privilege of speaking on his behalf at the White House podium. I have spoken with great pride about the many historic accomplishments of this Administration, and I have relished holding the liberal media accountable and ensuring the American people hear the truth about President Trump’s successes.
Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least. The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.
President Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside, and I will always remain a vocal advocate for MAGA and the Republican Party.
Our country is facing an existential threat from an increasingly extremist Democrat Party that seeks to destroy everything great about America, and I believe it is incumbent upon all of us who care about this country to fight back against that threat. My fight is entering a new phase, but it is far from over.
Thank you again to the President, the First Lady, and the entire Trump family for your kindness and generosity over the years. Thank you to our amazing Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for empowering me since the day she hired me on the campaign, and to the President’s cabinet, my staff, colleagues, and friends at the White House who work so hard on behalf of our nation. It has been a privilege to serve alongside so many accomplished and impressive people, and I look forward to cheering them on over the next two and a half years.
And of course, thank you most especially to my loving and supportive husband and family for the sacrifices they made for me to serve in this role. ♥️🇺🇸

The next election will be an existential fight to save the country we love, a mission I have now been fighting for over 30 years.
After two national election victories in as many years, many people now recognise that it will be a binary choice between Reform UK and Labour.
With the prospect of an early general election increasingly likely, it is natural that people from across the political spectrum are considering which side of that fight they intend to be on. Patriotic voters believe in many of the same things, but only one party truly has the possibility of delivering change.
To deliver that change, I understand Reform UK will need the support of people from other parties, as well as millions who have never voted before. That is the broad coalition I am building.
Over the last 18 months, I have demonstrated that our movement will always be open to anyone who shares our commitment to restoring Britain’s borders, rebuilding our economy, renewing our democracy and putting the British people first.
My previous history in politics has also shown that I am always prepared to put country before party, as I did in 2019. But I will never turn my back on my team.
There will always be a home in Reform UK for those who believe that 14 years of Conservative government, followed by the last 2 years of Labour, have failed the British people... and that our country now needs a fundamentally different direction.
I will continue to do whatever is necessary to defeat the left and provide Britain with the strong, serious leadership it deserves. This is the last chance for our country, and we cannot afford to waste it.

When Manchester United sign a player, the player never, ever brings up City. They don't need to.
When City signs a player, they need to talk about Manchester United & bring them into the conversation. Cook the books, buy success, cheat your way through two decades, it doesn't buy prestige, history or class.
Congrats on the £116m & £300k+ per week wages. An eye watering total package of £200m+ plus bonuses.
