Yeah this is one of the worst tropes in modern storytelling. Where the good guys are just such “good guys” that they never do this, and let the bad guy live to repeat all his villainous bad guy stuff over and over.
Being a child who experiences the miscarriage or God forbid the intentional abortion of a sibling along with your mom will make you an extremist against abortion. Regardless of mom’s own feelings on the matter or which it was, honestly. Because either way you will think about it:

"I don't consider." Meanwhile that twelve year old will constantly think "I could have just as easily have never been." Holy shit that kid is gonna be so stringently anti-abortion.

Best Star Wars movie and it isn’t close
‘REVENGE OF THE SITH’ (2005) is full of paintings.
Anakin on Mustafar, stuck on the low ground and staring up at Obi-Wan, has the same look as Alexandre Cabanel’s The Fallen Angel - Lucifer right after he’s thrown out of heaven, crying and furious at the same time.
The Plagueis scene at the opera is basically a Caravaggio: two faces lit out of the dark while Palpatine sells the dark side. (The blue-faced guy outside the box is George Lucas - his only Star Wars cameo.)
And the lava isn’t all CGI. Mount Etna erupted in 2002 while the film was being made, so Lucas sent a crew to shoot it. That real eruption is in the background of the duel.

Except that the anti internet people in 1999 were right about literally everything and have been vindicated on every single point to a degree that surpasses even their own worst nightmares?
In my house, these are the six Star Wars films and these are what the covers look like, and everything else is some alternate universe.

We need to be better, collectively, at what our children are watching.
There is a war currently being waged, and there is nothing more valuable than the youths attention.
How much of your life are you willing to trade for money? You can’t get time back.
You can always get more money. Money comes and goes. Time doesn’t.
Real freedom and real love is found in where your time is spent.
This is what we’ve been doing with literally every single political, entertainment, and sporting event that exists for the last 60-ish years, by the way.

rebooting the series with the intention to make it tailored for a different set of people entirely. Which destroys the whole thing, eventually, because you’re essentially changing everything in order to cater to like 19 blue-haired people who want to insert themselves into it.
This movie is the Halo 4/5 of Star Wars. It obviously held everything people liked about Star Wars in contempt—more specifically the fans themselves and what they loved about the movies—and you do feel it oozing through the script at you in virtually every scene. An attempt at
Suddenly I've realized that it was I who was being unreasonable this whole time.
See, and all this time I was thinking it was the assholes that ruined everything, the people that supported it, and the people that didn't notice it happening who were the unreasonable ones.

Reasonable people don’t have children when they can’t afford to raise them. The affordability in the U.S. is out of control
I sincerely and genuinely hate everything America has become.
It’s difficult to explain that this feeling is also the result of having deeply loved this country for my whole life.

I have spent nearly two years working full-time for @AbolitionistFAA. We have assisted with about two dozen equal protection bills in conservative states since I started. Almost all of them were opposed, publicly and privately, by the major pro-life groups in those states.
To name just two examples I have personally experienced with @AbolitionistFAA…
— I watched with my own two eyes in a South Dakota committee hearing room as two of our former coauthors voted against the bill they had been sponsoring mere days earlier, because a major South Dakota pro-life group applied pressure to flip them against the bill. If we had those two votes, the bill would have passed committee.
— I arrived in Texas last spring, ready to help with a bill hearing the following day, only for the committee chair to cancel the hearing after pressure from the largest pro-life establishment group on Texas. That same pro-life group tried to remove the equal protection language from the Republican Party of Texas platform and legislative priorities.
