Unused/surplus production capacity in oil refining sector = 0
Unused/surplus production capacity in ethanol sector = 120,000 bpd
If govt. would allow slightly higher ethanol blends in existing equipment, we could very quickly deliver an additional volume of fuel equal to gasoline output of a large, brand new oil refinery (~260,000 bpd refinery).
Allows refiners to focus on diesel yields
-reduces RIN prices
-takes pressure off high-$ aromatics production
-boosts corn/sorghum demand for farmers

Capt. John Ogonowski, a pilot with @AmericanAir, also farmed. He was a board member of the @MAFarmBureau. John left White Gate Farm at Dracut, MA in his dusty green Chevy pick up at 6:00 a.m. 9/11/2001. At 7:45, in the left cockpit seat of AA Flight 11, he pushed back from the gate at Logan Airport in Boston. Fifteen minutes into the flight air traffic controllers could no longer reach John or his co-pilot. #neverforget

If Admin really wants to expand refinery capacity, it should stop incentivizing refiners to CURTAIL production by giving them #SREs. These 4 refineries all admit they have capacity above 75k bpd, but they throttled back production to get under the SRE threshold. The result? 450 MILLION gallons of gas & diesel that didn’t get produced. That additional supply would come in handy right about now! #ethanol

When milk line is starting to show... water and nutrient uptake is about finished correct??
Chart below shows that the crop is never "finished" with trying to pack in yield until it is finished!
Actually shocking how much water and nutrients corn needs the last 2-3 weeks.
Well balanced nutrition along with strong soil health & biology is needed to provide adequate nutrition this late into the season... along with moisture to allow it to flow into the plant!.

"Ethanol is why Americans are getting screwed at the pump” is a heck of a claim when you leave out the value of octane.
Refiners produce lower-octane gasoline blendstock and use #ethanol’s high octane to bring finished gasoline up to spec.
Octane isn’t free. And lately, it REALLY isn’t free.
At today’s octane values, #corn ethanol is SAVING drivers ~40–60¢ per gallon at the pump.
