Really important that patients, patient groups, general practice and pharmacy teams, negatively impacted by the current system where a pharmacist cannot supply a suitable alternative without a new prescription, respond to this consultation.
Pharmacists are crucial to our 10 Year Health Plan and today we are launching a consultation on enabling them to dispense alternative medicines if a prescription isn't available.
Common sense healthcare; good for pharmacists, patients, and the community.
