ALT We’re outraged by the racism, Islamophobia and anti-immigrant violence perpetrated over the weekend, which has no place on our streets or in our society. Film, media and the arts have an active role to play in challenging bigotry and dismantling false narratives which lead to hateful behaviour, and so does our charity. Uplifting marginalised perspectives in the world and community building are at the heart of our work at #ReclaimTheFrame. We stand by people of colour, Muslims, migrants, refugees, all those displaced, and in solidarity with all those speaking out and showing up against fascism. Community care and support are as important as ever - please check in with the people in your life who might feel unsafe at this time. If you are personally effected by current events and need someone to talk to, we encourage using resources provided by our friends at The Film and TV Charity filmtvcharity.org.uk/get-support. ALT Still for Brainwashed: Sex-Camera-Power directed by Nina Menkes. An image of an eye in the centre (with a purple wash). The grey text reads: “The first feminist gesture is to say: “OK, they're looking at me. But I'm looking at them.” - Agnes Varda BRAINWASHED / Sex-Camera-Power title treatment (in white) sits below it.
