Per Benjamin Tal of CIBC, the avg. "Down Payment Gift" for a first time home buyer from a parent (money from a parent to a child for a home purchase) is $180,000. I thought the number was high, but never expected it to be that high for the average. That great wealth transfer...

No great city has reached their full potential. If a CEO interviewed for a job and said the company had already reached its full potential, you’d never hire them. Toronto has so much room to grow, and we need leadership that treats it that way.
Is Toronto living up to it's full potential? That was the question at the Daily Bread Food Bank debate. Olivia Chow said yes while Brad Bradford and Chris Alexander said no. Last year, Daily Bread had 3,760,888 client visits. That's a 47% increase since Chow became mayor.

But Magneto was a refugee twice over and an immigrant! He lost his entire family in the Holocaust, and after Word War II ended he sought refuge in Ukraine. After his daughter was murdered by a mob there, he fled to Israel as a refugee for a second time. He then chose to move to the US as an immigrant. The only way this can be read is that Magneto is going to be a different *type* of refugee/immigrant. In other words, not a Jewish one.
My grandparents lived through Kristallnacht in Austria, as Jewish homes and stores were burn down and broken. Which led to ghettos and the Holocaust. My grandfather was 159931 in Auschwitz. History is repeating itself and so many are silent, or seemingly supporting this.
What can only be described as a major hate crime occurred overnight at a popular Montreal kosher restaurant which has been burnt the ground. I am on the scene. #arson #hatecrime #antisemitism

I keep saying, “this one went too far.” At this point it would almost be funny if it weren’t so damn horrifying. This week, two Jewish owned bakeries (Kiva’s) in Toronto were targeted. Now Noam, where my parents and sister go every week for kosher food, has been destroyed by a fire. 88% of Jewish Canadians feel less safe than five years ago. One in four has considered leaving or made plans to. These are not random incidents. This is the reality I wrote about months ago. This is not anxiety. This is evidence.

Gunshots at one Kiva's bagel shop location, broken windows at another. •Zero impact on Israeli politics. •Major impact on Jewish life in Toronto. Anything coded Jew is a target. Want to stay safe? Just don't do Jew stuff. cp24.com/local/toronto/2026/…

Canada is the perfect country for data centres and nuclear plants. Hopefully this is the start of major industry growth. Ontario needs to jump into this ring.
One of the largest private sector investments in Canadian history is coming home to Alberta. @Meta has chosen Alberta for its first Canadian AI data centre, a historic $13 billion investment that will create thousands of jobs, strengthen our economy, and help position our province as a global leader in artificial intelligence and technology. This project will support 3,000 construction jobs, 300 permanent positions, generate an estimated $250 million in annual benefits for Albertans, and invest $60 million into local roads, water, and community infrastructure. Meta is fully funding new generation and grid infrastructure to support the data centre, which will improve reliability across the entire Alberta grid benefiting electricity customers across the province by reducing transmission costs by up to six per cent on Albertans’ utility bills. We are proud to welcome Meta to and thank them for their confidence in our province, our economy, and most importantly, our people. Alberta has the energy, talent, and ambition to power the next generation of innovation.

You are 100 % correct Jesse. Anti-antisemitism is out of control. It’s sickening and inexcusable. Canadians need to speak out and urge our leaders to act. This is a Canada problem, not a Jewish problem.
Antisemitism has gotten out of control in Canada. There are no excuses for it. Out of control.

This is why you can’t have Claude agents “run” your marketing department without strong oversight. Yes, HELOC’s can be hell, but that’s definitely not how it’s spelled… (@danielfoch I think you’ll appreciate this)
