Back in 2024, we foresaw this type of activity being an issue. Proud to have worked with leaders like @MichaelWatsonMS and @JeremyEnglandMS who had the foresight to tackle this issue and get this law on the books.
This morning, we notified the Scott Colom for Senate campaign that Mississippi law prohibits deepfake political ads. And we are pleased to announce that they have removed the ads from their social media. Election integrity is important and this office is committed to ensuring public trust in the electoral process.

This dude is a gem. And I think he may be moonlighting as a speech writer for Kamala Harris.
Reporter: “How confident are you in carrying this team forward?” Jameis Winston: “One thing that I do is forgetting those that is behind… and reaching forward to what’s ahead.” (stares off into space) 😂😂😂

What a career. What a sport.
Justin Verlander's ending was one for the ages. Had to add the moneyball music, because how in the heck can you not be romantic about baseball after something like that?

What does a nation built below sea level know about flooding? Our members went to find out. @JeremyEnglandMS joined our #LivingWithWater delegation to the Netherlands. Watch what he's bringing home to the Gulf Coast: bit.ly/4xHWm0H #AFCNetherlandsDelegation

I’m looking forward to traveling to the Kingdom of the Netherlands this week with the @floodcoalition (American Flood Coalition) and legislators from other states to explore Dutch approaches to flood management and flood resilience. I am excited to learn about their technology and infrastructure and hope to bring back new ideas on this topic that is very important to my constituents on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

If you grew up in the South, you’ve seen this a hundred times before. I still see it at the hunting camp every late-September. And some old man always has some chewing tobacco they will tell you to put on the stings.
A man on my street decided to remove a wasp nest himself, at night, and four neighbors came outside to watch. Nobody was invited. They arrived because the ladder came out. The ladder is the signal. I asked what the plan was. He said, "Spray it and run." I asked what the second part of the plan was. He said, "Running." I want to record the assembled force. One man on a ladder holding a can. One man at the base of the ladder holding nothing and contributing nothing. Two men in the driveway at a distance of perhaps fifteen meters, both holding beverages, neither of them prepared to move. One woman on a porch who told me she had asked him to hire somebody eleven days ago. I offered to assist. I said that no man should stand alone beneath an enemy position at night, that I had no fear of the creatures, and that I would hold the base of the ladder so that he might commit fully to the assault. He said, "Yeah, you're gonna wanna be over there." He pointed at the driveway. At the men with the beverages. I went over there. He sprayed. The nest responded. He came down the ladder in a manner that cannot accurately be described as climbing, and the ladder went one way and he went the other, and both of them arrived on the grass. Then he ran. He ran past all four of us. He did not warn us, and I understand now that warning us was never part of it, because the plan was running, and the plan was for him. The two men with beverages ran. The woman on the porch went inside and closed the door with a firmness I noted at the time. I did not run. I want to be clear that this was not courage. I did not run because I had not yet understood the situation. I understood it approximately two seconds later, and by then the matter had been decided on my behalf. I was stung twice. He was stung eleven times. We drank a beer in his garage afterward with the door down, which is apparently what one does, and he told me his father had once used gasoline for this and his uncle had used a firework, and that both men were fine. The nest is still there. He says he got it. He did not get it.

I’ve heard the saying that “God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers.” But when I see the disciples that Jesus chose and suffered for His name sake, I don’t see Him choosing the “toughest soldiers”, as I learn about men and women in the past and even today who have laid down their lives for Jesus, once again I don’t see God choosing His “toughest soldiers.” But I see a strong and mighty God choosing weak men and woman, and empowering them by His Holy Spirit to face some of the toughest battles and be used for His glory. I once thought I was a “tough soldier” until I met Jesus, I then realized that I’m so weak without Him, and apart from Jesus I can’t do anything. I need Jesus daily. The only way that I can truly become who God wants me to be and truly do what God wants me to do, is not by my power not by my might, but only by The Spirit of The Living God. Thank you Jesus.

🚨WOW!!! Firefighters and college football players showed up to a Tennessee senior home...to pull grandmas and grandpas down a MASSIVE slip 'n slide!!! Seniors with dementia and Parkinson's laughed like little kids again. This is the annual "Ride 'n Slide" at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where a giant tarp is stretched across the lawn and the Murfreesboro Fire Department keeps it soaked and lifts residents safely on and off. The Middle Tennessee State football team spent their day pulling grandmas across the water on inner tubes and cheering them on every single ride. One resident, Mike Mitchell, an Army veteran and a retired minister who preached for SIXTY YEARS, talked himself into it right there on the lawn. One grandma went down FOUR times and came up smiling saying, "Well that was fast!" Organizers say the residents with dementia and Parkinson's light up brightest of all. For one afternoon, no diagnoses, no age, just water, laughter, and people cheering your name. That's so amazing... GOD BLESS THESE PEOPLE!!!! 🇺🇸

Disney has a rule: actors who play Disney characters are instructed not to let go first when hugging a child. Instead, they wait for the child to let go first. The reason is that you never know how much that child might need the hug.😊❤️

I had a chance to meet Senator Lindsay Graham at a conference in San Diego in early 2016. I hate to see that he passed away suddenly last night. I’ve seen some terrible things written about the man today, and that is disappointing. Senator Graham was a statesman, and he was never afraid to stand up for America and for his constituents in South Carolina. I also believe he had a great understanding of America’s place in the world. I did not always agree with him. That’s politics. But he certainly leaves a legacy in Washington and in the Republican Party that will last a long time. I will be praying for his family, his friends, and his constituents in South Carolina.
