I really thought I’d be finished with 2026 Matric dance shoots this weekend but I was booked yesterday for 28 November (German school) and have just got another enquiry for 30 November!
Sandton drive being blocked off to prep the road for the Red Bull race is such a mess! The traffic is horrendous as a result! I’m going to need to try a different route in tomorrow

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY? news24.com/business/consumer…
Loving all the Comrades entrant posts today… and also very glad that it’s not me 🤣 it’s a very long way to run
My little TikTok about my run yesterday has gone completely viral. Same kind of content as I always do… running with my dogs
Went to In bed by 10 last night… such fun for us oldies 🤣 it’s a club night that ends at 9pm. The music is a mix of 80s,90s and the 2000s… must say though I was ready to go home at 8. I’d had my fill of the crowds, sticky floors and loud music by then

The first time I understood suicide. Like really understood the trauma of being left behind… was when I was 17.
I think of Gareth often. I knew him all my life. We grew up together. We called each other cousins. He had such a big smile. And the most infectious laugh. And he was always so kind. He was big, and strong, and a really, really nice guy. I really loved him. He was like another big brother. Even though I was the youngest, he always included me. He never left me behind.
Until he did.
Since then, I have felt it over and over and over. There are just too many good humans who are no longer here.
We all know someone. We have all lost someone. We all understand the trauma now.
And I guess knowing is a constant reminder that we are all fighting really hard battles. We live in a very broken world where people who we love are dealing with massive monsters that we know nothing about. Good grief, all those horrible things we face.
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
Around 1 million people die by suicide each year. Every 40 seconds, the loss of a person shatters the lives of family and friends.
I have lost too many friends to suicide.
I think that’s why it is so important to be kinder than necessary or needed to everyone. Full stop. We really, actually, have no idea what other people are dealing with. Try to remember that. Above everything else, just be kind.
Always be kind.
And that means being kinder to ourselves too.
Watch more sunrises. Stop doing shit you hate. Believe in yourself. Do what feels good. Take risks. Make yourself proud. Create a life that makes you happy. Love your body more. Hang with awesome peeps. Throw toxic in the trash. Give assholes the boot.
And I know that goes against being kind… but sometimes, letting people go - the kak ones - is the kindest thing you can do for yourself.
Smash some goals. Walk barefoot. Share your magic. Love louder. Flaunt your awesome. Be a nice human. Be the reason someone smiles today. Be freaking brave.
And please reach out if you can't. PLEASE!!!
Hold on. Reach out. Be kind to yourself.
No goodbyes today.
Okay. Love you.
All the matric dances this year seem to be on the same days. Note to matric parents for next year… please book photographers when you know the dates and don’t wait until a few weeks before. I’ve turned down 3 moms in the last week.

How to destroy a beloved brand.
Step 1: Put a soulless, data-driven consultant who has never even seen a basketball court or a running track up close in charge.
Step 2: He goes direct! And increase profits while destroying the retail distribution system and betraying a multitude of 20-year-long partnerships.
Step 3: Motivated and innovative competitors like On Running and Hoka rush to fill the distribution gap Nike left by abandoning its trusted partners.
Step 4: Not satisfied, he fires all the stupid creative people who can't prove any of their ideas work with hard data. What could they possibly know?
Step 5: Celebrate when milking the brand for every last cent works for about 18 months, even though the data quickly show a disaster is looming.
Step 6: OMG? Wut?
Step 7: Fire the old CEO and bring in a new one who's been with the brand since day one. He tries his best, but just too much damage was done.
Step 8: Get delisted... Go down in history as the greatest example of data-driven idiots destroying one of the most successful creative brands of all time.
The end.
Finished the 35km Titanic Challenge in Clarens yesterday. Beat last year’s time by 5 minutes and finished feeling strong. It’s the most stunning trail race. Views and climbs are insane
To rely on only one source to plan a trip like that is just looking for pain
A group of hikers had to be rescued after using AI to plan a summit of Mount Shasta in California.
They depended on Google's Gemini to give them information about the route and what to pack, which led them to bring "far less food and water than their group required," according to the local sheriff's office.
