I just hope Jalen Hurts is waking up this morning, after a beautiful restful sleep, and begins the process of suing the Philadelphia Eagles into Oblivion
And I hope he knows there is not one soul out there that would blame him if it meant the end of that franchise

The NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles almost killed Jalen Hurts for a Week 5 international showcase.
The full details of what happened behind closed doors in London just surfaced, and the negligence is staggering.
Before kickoff in London, Hurts was in a hospital bed until 4:00 AM undergoing emergency vascular testing. Medical staff instructed him not to sleep because sleep was considered an active health risk.
Instead of shutting down their $255 million franchise quarterback, the team cleared him to play 60 minutes of brutal, high-impact collision football on zero sleep.
Then, they loaded him onto a pressurized, 8-hour transatlantic flight back to Philadelphia.
Every doctor on the planet knows that long-haul flights and cabin pressure are the exact triggers that cause lower-extremity blood clots to break free. The Eagles spent days assuring the public it was just a "minor, superficial calf clot".
Now the truth comes out: the clot dislodged, shot through his bloodstream, and caused multiple pulmonary emboli in his lungs.
Hurts is officially out for the season, placed on blood thinners where taking a single routine tackle could cause a fatal internal hemorrhage.
He isn't just lucky to play football again, he is lucky to be alive.
When the NFL preaches "player safety," remember this moment. They ran a human being into the ground for television ratings in the UK, almost lost him to a preventable medical catastrophe, and cratered their entire season in the process.
Who inside that building signed off on letting him play and board that flight?

Shane Gillis should do a joke about how parents are not efficient in the school drop off line so we can finally have a national conversation about that.

I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me.
The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.”
Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists.

Working for the City of Austin last year, Katie Kam took it upon herself to audit questionable contracts that had been assigned to her. Her reward for asking questions and trying to hold contractors accountable? She lost her job.
We need Council Members that ask hard questions.
How many more employees keep their mouth shut because they know that there will be consequences if they ask probing questions?
City of Austin is due for radical culture change. It starts by electing leaders with integrity - who do the right thing, not the easy thing.

I have to say a huge thank you to everyone we met this summer who told us to come back for college football in the fall. This was the best idea ever!
Before this trip, we had never really followed American football, not even the NFL. The Super Bowl was the only game we watched.
Now, four weeks into our trip, we’ve become such big fans of the sport that we’re already planning watch parties in the middle of the night when we’re back in Germany!
After today’s game, we rushed back to our hotel to catch the rest of Alabama vs. Georgia, and now we’re sitting here watching Boise State vs. Fresno State.
Never thought we’d get this hooked on football. Thanks for introducing us to this amazing sport! 🙏

By now you’ve probably heard of the woman who was fired from the Baltimore Rock Opera Society following complaints that she culturally appropriated her Burning Man cornrows. Well, we got ahold of an internal document one staffer sent to volunteers and it’s an employment lawyer’s dream come true. This is bad. @ABC must take responsibility for their failed journalism. Basic journalistic ethics requires it.
A quiet unexplained withdrawal of a false article does not constitute a proper error correction.
Replying to @ABC
@ABC News continues to lie, this time privately to their friends in the press. This was a coordinated influence operation planted by our competition, not "premature publication".
7:01 AM October 7th, story goes live. Within minutes, dozens of high-profile commentators, politicians, and news outlets are sharing it with tens of millions of followers. We immediately contact ABC and demand they correct their false claims - after multiple rounds of refusal, they finally make a single one-word grammar edit. The editors stand by the reporting and insist the false claims are true.
Finally, eight hours after I was forced to call them out publicly, they delete everything. The editors hide all the comments, the author deletes his X account, and the story is completely wiped from their website without any explanation, directly violating SPJ ethics standards and ABC's own internal rules.
ABC is currently running a coverup operation, ignoring all of our requests for correction/retraction while telling their buddies to spread the word that this was nothing more than a CMS publication timeline error.
