Senator Collins keeps telling us how powerful she is, but for who? Families struggling to afford groceries, medicine, and heating oil shouldn’t have to write a campaign check to get their senator’s attention. I don’t owe the billionaires anything. I owe Maine everything.

I don't have answers, and it's all so hard. But as a parent of two young children, it's hard to feel seen and heard these days. If we accept that the bar two blocks from my child's school is open but with modifications, why can't we accept the same for the school?
