Apropos of nothing, here’s a column my dad, a WWII vet, wrote in 1989 about politicians who desecrate the flag with performative patriotism…
The Washington Monument stands as a tribute to our first president. This week, thanks to our 45th and 47th president, it is illuminated with the story of American greatness. 🇺🇸

Again, it was not just Wedgewood. There was a concerted effort to push these dodgy polls that had the results beneficial to the left candidate. Remember this one? Would anyone put it past Adam Carlson to just fabricate data? I certainly wouldn't...
lol it's ridiculous how manufactured this all is. Adam gets paid to do a poll for a progressive/left candidate he supports and then that poll finds that #actually the thing that the candidate is weakest on (ie. general election matchup) is actually a strength. And then all the Left accounts all retweet it in unison and go 'wow, looks like we have to elect this guy to win.' They did the same shit with Platner when he first came out, when Mills' #1 argument was electability. That one's going great...

Reminds me of @umichvoter lying about having insider information on Haley Stevens supposedly being down in internal polls and has no path to victory. Disinformation will continue to be on the rise until these type of people are charged with crimes.
BREAKING: Wedgewood polling admits to fabricating polls as part of “an experimental project” in a press statement

During the primary, the most potent argument against Abdul was electability. He polled the worst out of all the candidates in the general against Rogers. And then a bunch of low quality polls came out that showed that ACTUALLY he polled the best against him. And they were cited to rebut the argument. Total bullshit. Completely fake.
Did I call it or what? Unbelievable. Here's me in July:

Sure sign of confidence by Republicans in race for an office that Dems last won two decades ago.
This is the definition of a Hail Mary ad — the type of spot you see two weeks out when a campaign realizes they’re out of political luck and need a miracle.

Vivek is such a vile person in service of trying to make up for what a failed candidate he is. He and his team deserve the dustbin of history they’re heading for when votes are counted in just a couple weeks. Gross.
Yea Acton's mom is clearly not well. The whole story is really sad. But what's disgusting is that @VivekGRamaswamy is taking advantage of it Here's the real story, for anyone interested in reality: vindyarchives.com/news/2019/…

The video featuring Amy Acton's mom: • doesn't have the disclosures required of political ads. • isn't running on TV, isn't in either the Meta or Google political ad archives. • just started getting shared by right-wing influencers out of nowhere. huffpost.com/entry/amy-acton…

This is absolutely disgusting and the act of a desperate campaign. This woman lost custody of her kids because her husband abused Amy. How anyone can look at that and say, "let's put her on air," is beyond me. Every consultant and operative who worked on or paid for this should be permanently out of politics.
BOMBSHELL: Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter. “My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America. I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem. She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life. My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that. Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.” That’s one hell of an October surprise.

Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story. x.com/amyactonoh/sta… wkbn.com/news/local-new… time.com/collections/co… vindyarchives.com/news/2019/aug/… 614now.com/2020/culture/c… actonforgovernor.com/meet-amy/

Putting aside how morally disgusting this ad is … it’s also political malpractice. It’ll create sympathy for Acton and make Vivek look like a creep. How anyone thought this was a good idea is astonishing
This mom lost custody of Amy Acton after her new husband was investigated for molesting Acton when she was in middle school. Mom left town with step father, Acton has said, to avoid charges. Backstory here: vindyarchives.com/news/2019/…

Hey, top of the day to you, pig! So it turns out I’m a legit expert on early American labor practices (Brown, PhD, 2003). None of this is true. Not the slaves part, not the Jews part. You seem to be another ignorant bumblefuck antisemite who learned his bullshit on the internet.

Israeli police have arrested 10 people in connection with the attack by extremist Israelis on Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine in Abu Falah. Security forces also seized items linked to the attack, stopped illegal construction in the area, and prevented an illegal takeover of a Palestinian home. This is the right response. These attacks are against the law, and the law has to be enforced against the people who carry them out. I know some people will reply with “what about Palestinian terrorism?” I condemn Palestinian terrorism on my platforms every day. I condemn it because it is violence, and I condemn this attack for the same reason. Who commits the violence doesn’t change that.

It's a tried and true tradition to make up a story and then blame Jews for the thing that never happened, but what's fun about this one is the total historical illiteracy. Irish slavery is a myth - but also Jews were still expelled from England when it supposedly happened.
My Irish ancestors were slaves bought and sold by Jewish people. And you expect me to care about antisemitism?

Irish people transported to the Americas were primarily indentured servants under temporary contracts, not chattel slaves, and there is no historical evidence they were bought and sold by Jewish people; this draws on the debunked "Irish slaves" myth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_sla… snopes.com/fact-check/iri… factchecking.ie/articles/were-… myjewishlearning.com/article/jews-a…

I recently heard that should Beau Bayh be elected Indiana Secretary of State, Indiana Republicans are considering making the office appointed rather than elected.
It's gettin' real now: Sources tell @quorumreport that the Texas Senate GOP is quietly considering stripping all legislative power from the Lt. Gov. if the Democrat beats Little Gov Patrick: bit.ly/4Bfnnvb #TxLege

We strongly disagree with the Beacon Coalition’s endorsement of Rogers. We had no knowledge of these plans and are not funding this work. We have been clear since the end of the Democratic primary and said it repeatedly: we believe El-Sayed must win this race because Donald Trump cannot have another rubber stamp in the Senate. Third Way stands united behind our Senate Democratic nominees. A Democratic Senate majority is an essential check on Trump, and we are counting on El-Sayed to hand Mike Rogers his second defeat.

We stopped posting our donors because we didn’t want Trump to come after them simply because they gave to CAP and lo and behold in August he attacked our donors by name on Truth Social. It just turned out to be a wrong list because we didn’t publish them. In retrospect a smart move for our sustainability.

Obama, the most popular Democrat in the party is campaigning with El-Sayed next week. Honestly these people just need to constantly play the victim
In Maine, Michigan and Minnesota we are watching the Democratic Establishment’s hand picked candidates lose and then either actively or passively undermine the party and or their nominee. This is an abject failure by the Democratic leadership.
