If you're rooting for a Celtics win today or any point this season you don't understand the concept of losing the battle to win the war. Furthermore, if you agree this is a throwaway season in terms of winning a title, and you understand this upcoming draft is absolutely loaded then why would you not shut it down? I'm not saying lose without effort. Go ahead and develop the young guys like Hugo. He can be a long-term asset going forward. But that's how you would most productively use a throwaway year. Develop the young talent + position your team for a top 5 pick. You wouldn't sabotage your chances so the old vets can try really hard just to lose anyway but possibly win just enough to kill your draft odds. When I say I want the Celtics to lose every game I sincerely mean it. 💯
