Hey @Challengertcg what do you think about your "DQ'd from an RQ for being clueless about the basic rules of the game" player's behavior in this clip? Was he also clueless that he can't flat out stack his runes to perfection? To do it on camera - cheating is his second nature.

Lots of questions and people hypothesizing about what happened today - mostly because my husband is currently 7-0 and contending for best of LeBlanc. Here's a thread of information and I'd really appreciate visibility so more people can be informed and vigilant- #RQLA #riftbound

To add some context to the Stacked Deck ban: We feel that Stacked Deck was deceptively contributing to many of the frustrating patterns that currently exist with Chaos decks (which are also, in the aggregate, stronger than we’d like). (1/x)

👀 Jokes aside, our team appreciated this from the weekend (great work Jason!) and although Ekko was already on our minds from start of Vendetta season, this was part of the discussion!
I am the winner of the Baltimore Riftbound Showdown, with the same Lux list I played in Barcelona. 5-0 9-0 in the Trial on Fri to win a bye 9-0 15-2 into double ID to get 2nd seed swiss 2-0'd my Lucian QF opponent Top 4 split cash and then decided Lux should win to get it banned

2nd Place SCG Baltimore and Best of Lucian. Lucian is a real deck and is criminally underrated. Has an unreal run but glad to secure my 2nd RC invite and 2nd showdown best of. List is the same list @motionlessmo won Best of in Singapore. Matchups below⬇️

Qualified for the riftboud pt. Played Rengar which is basically boros energy. Game’s pretty fun, played against 12 different decks in 12 rounds. Not sure why the ekko combo is legal it seems antithetical to the way the game is designed.

One hell of a weekend at the @SCGCON Showdown! We had a 73% Winrate, and took home 1st and 4th place! Make sure to give Ekko a big thumbs down next time you see him

Huge congrats to @JasonILTG and @zevin_faust for both making top 4 of the @SCGCON Baltimore showdown, with Jason taking home the trophy! Make sure to buy it's Lux guide to get free wins with the deck

The winner of this tournament was a Lux player who read Jason's guide and was skillfully deploying all their secret moves. Meanwhile, Jason is 7-0 in the Baltimore showdown. Buy the guide, Lux is broken! xitter.cf/JasonILTG/status/20919…
I have joined the cast since my skirmish ended very early, come hang out

THERE IS ONLY ONE LUX PLAYER AT THE 1000 PERSON BALTIMORE TOURNAMENT AND THEY'RE 1ST SEED BTW
1-2 drop in today's Nova Riftbound tournament. We need to have a serious conversation about this Lux deck. It breaks the entire mold of how Riftbound's supposed to be played. We can complain about Kennen RTW and Yi Rengar all day but at least those decks you have to walk your ass to the battlefield and DO SOMETHING. Even if what they do is inherently stronger than other decks they are DOING THE RIFTBOUND THING. On the official site it states: RIFTBOUND IS A CARD GAME WHERE PLAYERS BATTLE IT OUT OVER CONTROL OF BATTLEFIELDS Lux does not do this. She plays Solitaire for 5 turns and then wins the game. You either win by turn 4 or have Divine Judgment. She is not. Playing. The. Game. She is playing YUGIOH. And I LIKE Yugioh. Yugioh is a fun game. When youre playing YUGIOH WHICH THIS IS NOT. It's the easiest fix too. Ban Blue Ekko, a card that has the serious design flaw of looping itself into the deck. Want to keep the deck alive? Fine. Make it suck into green. Hit Sacrifice so that unit kill is on resolution so that the loop can get hit by Defy and other counter spells. This SEVERELY nerfs it. Nut. Up. And. Hit. The. Problem.

Today is day 30 of myself and many other judges not being paid by @ExcaliburMTG for working their Columbus event. I am calling on them to pay their workers. Businesses should not benefit from free labor.

There is a difference between knowing a ruling ("I know that this works") and knowing the rules ("I know why this works"). I am telling you to do the latter. Whenever I hear of a weird ruling I immediately look in the rules until I understand why it works like that.
