The bizarre thing is that nobody on the left admits to believing Blank Slate nonsense, but they all act as if it's true.
IMO the *real* load-bearing delusion is the idea that everything is relative and so it doesn't matter.

Killing enemies, and serious criminals like rioters, is GOOD.
This isn't tough talk online - it is quite literally the basis of civilization.
This is completely true. Morally and intellectually normal people make adjustments to this worldview as the result of repeated experience.

“Fighting fire with fire” comes from the extremely effective technique of using controlled burns to stop larger fires.
I remember when I was in high school thinking, “it’s so crazy that I’m in high school right now. Like, it’s a small window that people look back on for the rest of their lives and I’m passing through it right now.”
I think you have to be burning with awareness. Every moment should feel significant. I can’t believe I have all these young kids right now. It’s such a blessing.
When you have kids, older parents will tell you “they grow up fast.” You’ll hear it a million times. Then one day you’ll realize how true it was. The time flies by as your kids get older. The days are short. Years don’t feel like years anymore. It’s bewildering. Impossible to talk about without sounding cliched.

I mean, I care, but Republicans need to win the midterms regardless. The Democrats have not gotten better. They have gotten worse.
I really don’t care what’s happening in the Republican Party right now because we can fight over what the hell is going on after we win the midterms.
Handing over the country to a bunch of lunatics on the left is not the solution.
Stopping Trump from being able to do anything for the next two years is the single dumbest decision you could ever make and it makes you a democrat.
Everybody should be voting and bringing 10 people with them.
And anybody telling you otherwise isn’t a conservative.
No matter how bad you think things are right now, they will be significantly worse if the Marxists control Congress.

Most nations, historically, would have annihilated Gaza after 10/7 - slaughtered every fighting man, destroyed every base of support for them, and pointed the broken survivors west to try to find mercy in Egypt.
Today, we are expected to take media from the literal terror state which launched the war at face value, and blame the VICTIMS for a response which killed 2% of the aggressor's population.
It almost cannot be over-stated how absurd this is. Prey morality, socialism, and similar philosophies are cancers based upon the exploitation of empathy - which spread through society like gray-green mold through bread, and occasionally must be cut out in the same way.
OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE.
Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival.
She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said:
“I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.”
Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life.
She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said:
“I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me.
I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for.
Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die.
Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you.
My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.”
When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead.
With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road.
“Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down.
While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire.
It didn’t stop.
It kept going, until the call was disconnected.
And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body.
Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people.
Her memory will forever be a blessing.
NEVER FORGET.
NEVER FORGIVE.
NEVER AGAIN IS NOW.
Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all.
They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

Children of immigrants are burning down schools and trying to set ordinary people on fire in France, and in Belgium an academic who exposed a race grifter is facing criminal charges, but, sure, it's Europe's "far-right"— basically code for anyone right of center on the immigration issue — that's worrisome.
The threat of the far right is growing.
We urgently need to build a mass movement that can mobilise on the scale we need to stop them.

It’s been really hard over the past decade listening IRL to people’s unbelievably stupid political opinions.
I don’t mean this is an ‘I’m so smart’ or ‘feel sorry for me’ sort of way. It’s just been hard to listen to people who you’re trying to like and/or have respect for, successful or semi-successful professionals in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s, just say the most idiotic things that demonstrate complete lack of judgement, critical thinking skills, curiosity, or understanding of the world.
It’s almost like accidentally catching a glimpse of someone naked and then having to pretend it didn’t happen.
It takes a lot of *emotional and psychological labor* to go on respecting people in other realms (eg professional) when they’ve demonstrated a basic lack of ability to contend with the world in this way and it’s a blackpill just generally that people can’t handle a reality that is discordant with their sense of entitlement.

I started calling this the “Bill Maher Cycle” a few years ago. Conservatives shout true and valid things from the rooftops, but as you say it’s dismissed because they’re conservatives.
Then a year or two later, long after the preventable damage has been done, an “enlightened” liberal goes on Bill Maher (or writes a New Yorker piece, e.g.) saying a roundabout version of the thing conservatives were laughed at or scorned for stating clearly two years prior and everyone acts like it’s a courageous statement of a brilliant new insight.
It’s maddening but better late than never I guess?

I’ve had enough of these grifters. If another government comes whining for slavery reparations from the country that distinguished itself by its relentless global abolitionism, we should treat it as a hostile act and respond with economic sanctions.

These arguments follow the form “intuitive premise -> calculations -> unintuitive conclusion.”
EAs then argue that we must accept the conclusion, unless the conclusion is something like bombing data centers of course in which case we reject it based on common sense. 🤔

The left believes in a platonic ideal of “the government” that somehow exists completely separately from the actual people in charge.
Far right?? I said women should be able to get abortions whenever, immigration is slightly good and that I support stronger background checks for guns. These people are nuts.
