Being a total idiot I left my black laptop bag on the tube on Thursday at around 9.10pm. It was on the High Barnet branch of northern line. It’s got my laptop and two recorders in it. If anybody has handed it on/picked it up, it would be amazing to get back. Please share

I marvel at how often & in so many different ways #BBCQT makes so many questionable editorial decisions. There is a by election happening in north London exactly 1 week after this show but only 1 of the 2 leading parties is represented here. How is this remotely fair or balanced?
This week, join Question Time in North London
On the panel: Miatta Fahnbulleh, Julia Lopez, Suella Braverman, and Oli Dugmore
Thursday 1st October, 9pm on @BBCiPlayer, @BBCSounds, and the @BBCNews channel, 10:40pm on @BBCOne

In memory of Michael Wynn Jones
It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of Michael Wynn Jones, Delia’s beloved husband and partner of more than 55 years.
Michael died peacefully at home on Monday 28 September, aged 85.
We will remember Michael with enormous affection and gratitude, and we will always be grateful that, right from the very beginning of Delia Online, he was there behind the scenes, helping us along the way.
We all send our deepest sympathy and love to Delia, Tom, Hannah and all of Michael’s family and friends.

NEW Stewart Lee column
The collapse of compassion in post-Brexit Britain suggests it’s now time for Roman-style lethal spectacles. The alternative – stopping malign global influences from destabilising our society, say - seems beyond us

Seven charges against @Nigel_Farage are made in my book - the book he doesn't want you to read.
One, that he was a Nazi at school. 34 witnesses say he said things like "SSSSS!" and "Hitler was right!" to a Jewish classmate. He denies it.
Two, that he is serially irresponsible about safeguarding public money. For example, two of his UKIP MEPs went to prison for stealing money. They were not properly vetted. He denies it.
Three, that he has been cruel to his lovers. He denies it.
Four, that he wrongly demonised a Pole, Arek Jozwik, killed in the wake of the Brexit vote. He denies it.
Five, that when a rich man gives him a lot of money, he takes it and not enough questions are asked. He denies it.
Six, that his Reform UK party leader in Wales took bribes from a Russian spy - and this erodes trust in democracy. He denies it.
Seven, that in denying being a Nazi at school he is lying and that is why he should never be PM or anywhere near power. He denies it.
Farage has said of me that I "caused him more misery than any other in 25 years in politics."
This evening I'm at Chorleywood Library at 7pm. chilternbookshops.co.uk/even…
On Friday I am at the @frontlineclub with Peter Ettedgui and Yinka Bankole, two boys at school Farage bullied. He denies it and doesn't want you to read this book.

Labour has so badly fucked up. It failed to regulate when it had the chance. This is the Americanisation of UK politics.

For @thenerve_news I go to @reformparty_uk conference.
I don’t apply for a media pass.
I just hang out in the boozer.
And lo @Nigel_Farage and his minders come to me.
I ask him about the @Channel4News investigation and he pulls a face.
But his adepts love him.
Political leader? Or living god? You decide.
Watch out for my piece in @thenerve_news coming soon.

1) It’s *literally* your job to regulate this platform.
2) If you can’t, what does that mean? Tell us.
3) The Dept of Culture is not ‘your’ department, it’s ours. You’re its temporary custodian
5) But Facebook is ok? Really?

Harborne’s gift of £5m to Farage wasn’t his first act of generosity.
He also gave £1m to Johnson *after* he left office. What for, you ask? Neither are saying.
But in contrast to the flights, he did declare this.
2 months later he flew on Harborne’s jet to Ukraine

Harborne provided his private jet & pilot to Johnson in Jan 2023, after he’d resigned as PM but when still an MP.
There is no record of the gift in Johnson’s Register of Members Interests.
