The hills are alive with the sound of... bots
We need to have a hard look at ourselves if we are covering high value farmland with AI data centres. The hills are the most productive soils in South Australia.
Where are the @Greens ??? I would have thought the LEFT hand of the @alpsa "coalition" would be up in arms protesting with the ammount of fossil fuel burnt, clean water and taking over natural ecosystems these data centres suck! The aren't clean and green!
Infact the CO2e emissions for creating a single AI meme is 10,000x that of 1000 cows! Do the maths and compare the biogenic carbon cycle to the carbon cycle 😉

DYK that the ocean emits vastly more CO2e that all humans and their pillaging activities?
The ocean emits roughly CO2e of
~90 PgC/yr.
Antropogenic emissions (Humans and all their pillaging of the fossil fuels) is only 10-12 PgC/yr.
So if you want to blame humans for adding more of the gas of life than you would want to do it with perspective!
If you're in the #climatecult than please focus of plastics in the ocean, microplastics are now found in every living organism. They disrupt the hormone pathways and impact sexual reproduction.
I suspect (not proven but rational scientific deduction) they would also impact asexual reproduction.
This impacts life on earth as we know it.
We must protect the ocean and her vast beauty. We must protect the land and it's living soils!

BOM have been manipulating historical temp data and now they can’t even tell the difference between a cyclone and a swarm of Bogong moths
Both climate changers and vegans are part of a cult:
One ends in depopulation, because eventually they get the "awakening" that we are the carbon (backbone of life on earth) they want to eliminate.
The other is malnutrition induced psychosis and stripping the body of minerals, ammino acids and fatty acids.
The most toxic are vegans who become part of the climate change cult.

Should I try before I buy Portable Sheep Yards? Can you hire them from somewhere? Anyone got any on the Yorkes.
Whats the best brands, configurations etc?
I want yards that can do it all obviously. But if I truly think about it I need to easily be able to do the following in an ultra low stress management system - no working dogs (until i have time to train a quite guru) etc.
1. Draft and Autoweigh with Shearwell tags
2. Weight growth rate over the lambs life 2-3 data points per lamb
3. Tag and castrate, and husbandry
Why portable? Because my sheep at this stage follow a rotation until I'm all in on dedicated pasture paddocks.
TIA
Is this for fkn real? Carbon is the backbone of all living organisms.

Thoughts on taking on ColesWorth with a farmer co-op akin to CBH but as a supermarket chain?
Replying to @AnnaLongthorp @Liberdade80
I had my eyes wide open moment when I returned to the family farm 2 years ago... the absolute screwing of the farmer in a price taker model.
1. Grains traders are offering $60/tn below global pricing for wheat. This year all leavers were in our favor. Drought in Eu and USA (sorry for you but demand up), heaps of rain in Southern wheat belt. I raised it with Bunge and the answer was basically the input costs of this year's crop were way up (N, P, ⛽️) and farmers are recovering from their worst drought in a century back in 2024. So they need to sell, copy that bent over.
2. Lamb prices are up, wool up... but its all not high enough.
Their is this invisible glass ceiling (on the producer only mind you, not the supply chain) stifling farmers and its global. The price of bulk commodities is the same as 30 years ago (when I was a boy) but the costs have 5x over that time. The only saving grace is improved yielding varieties.
The only solution I see is verticle integration and supply chain capture. That means eventually creating a farmer co-op and opening a supermarket chain called "the farmers table" when more of the profits return to the farmer as the shareholder... but can you compete with the multinationals? Thats the billion dollar question.
Also farmers farm because they want freedom and independence, they work together only when they have to.

A 30 percent vitamin C solution dissolved in DMSO cleared 86 percent of basal cell skin cancer lesions within eight weeks in a clinical trial. In a randomized study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, researchers tested a topical mix of high-concentration ascorbic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, a solvent that helps substances penetrate deeply into the skin.
Applied twice daily for eight weeks, the combination produced complete clearance in 13 of 15 lesions (86.7 percent) among patients with low-risk basal cell carcinoma. This rate exceeded that of the standard topical treatment imiquimod, which cleared 8 of 14 lesions (57.1 percent). The vitamin C–DMSO formulation also caused fewer side effects and avoided the lasting skin hypopigmentation sometimes seen with conventional topical therapies.
Because basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, these early results suggest a possible low-cost, non-invasive option. Larger trials are still required before the approach can be adopted as standard care.

Big machines don’t like these shitty light/drought/frosty crops. Neither do the growers …. 🫤. #barley #Riverina @JohnDeere
Have I not been banging on about this for years! Maybe they should have listened to the farmers telling the @BOM_au that the weather forcaating is worse now than 10, 15, 20 years ago. We farm based on conditions and the BOM forcasts are as predictable as flipping a coin!
1. 2013 the model changed to dynamic, statistically similar to PV in genomics which will remove outliers if your not careful. The ourliers are what we want to know, not a homogenised average.
2. Weather stations have been removed, so prediction on where they used to be. We do that in MET analysis too but are very careful.
3. Urban sprawl and removal of transpiring trees actually changes the microclimate of the weather stations. Bitumen is hotter than concrete which is hotter than soil which is hotter than grass which is hotter than trees.
Where is the accountability? We are using modelling from overseas companies who forcast better than our own taxpayer funded weather app.
Add into that the fact the raw data has poor QA/QC actually affects all the other climate companies ability to forecast.
It's almost as if its done intentionally to fit the climate change narrative. But surely not, surely?
A forensic audit has uncovered false readings and widespread errors in the Bureau of Meteorology’s raw climate data, including blocks of temperature readings copied and pasted across different years and seasons, raising questions about the integrity of records used for climate analysis. Brains Trust, whats the best option?
1. on-off method or rig to swap the backs? I'm thinking car hoist system or a cheaper leaver system I can rig up. Same truck different back, numberplate etc is on the chasis.
2. Buy another designated cold logistics truck with lift at back and side enterance?
3. make this cold back into a tow behind using a rated trailer?
This truck was meant to be my dual cab ute with serious rating for towing the lamb trailer and other jobs on the farm.

This looks like a win to me... no metre, no cost. Nah they will just bill an average, it's never that simple.
Melbourne is becoming that dire they are thieving brass metres and copper pipe!
3rd world migrants in Melbourne are stripping copper water pipes from front lawns in the Western suburbs, leaving residents across the West without water.
Melbourne has become South Africa.
They have stripped pipes, streets lights, memorials, graves & this is only getting worse daily.
Import the 3rd world, become the 3rd world.
