why is it accessibility that always gets the worst shit from the top in WordPress? recurrent testament to how hollow "democratize publishing" lip service is linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…

Another missile fired in @photomatt war on accessibility. Truly astounding how much Matt hates accessibility. I don't really understand it. Sad day for WordPress. And he will blame @wpengine for the marketshare loss when it's his poor decisions that are ruining this community.
WordPress Accessibility took a major hit today core.trac.wordpress.org/tick… there’s no rhyme or reason for this response to Andrea Fercia on a three year old trac ticket.

He has been _every release lead_ since WordPress 5.0 with a few exceptions who were his direct employees. He also has his employees in all key positions. Including marketing and design.
He wants the community to “let” him lead? What exactly has he been doing this whole time?
Had an interesting discussion with my front-end UI developer. I was asking him why he does not use more claude code to do things faster, and I quickly built a prototype in front of him to show how it was done. He calmly asked me, "Well, if you observe here, this button does not look like the design given in Figma." I said, "It's okay, but look at how fast we quickly built it." Then he told me, "Why is it okay to be fast but wrong with AI, but with me it has to be fast and correct?" 😁

The only resolution I can see for this shit show is for @photomatt to resign and hand WordPress over to Apache or Linux foundations to be run as proper open source projects, while there is even anything left.

In WordPress, you can go from valued community member to persona non grata overnight. Not for sabotage. For suggesting the project should be led differently. I wrote about what that does to an ecosystem: coenjacobs.com/blog/fear-voi…
Imagine owning a WordPress products company and wanting the platform to continue to succeed so that it brings you more customers. But the leader of WordPress keeps doing shit that's out of your control to drive people away.
That's reality for a lot of people.

1. Always comment your code to make it easier for developers to understand what you are trying to do or what the code does.

people would blindly trust neural network learning less if they were reminded more that they have one inside their skull and how is that working out.

"no coding required" is not a feature but a warning in WordPress land.
A single plugin, adding a single widget. Loading in its own version of bootstrap and fontawesome.
