Marginal gains with higher token costs to a new phenomenon we should call the tokenflation. You can’t keep raising costs of subscriptions but you can force subscriptions users to newer models that deplete usage faster -> higher revenue.
I’ve reached a point where I’m like not excited about new models. There are too many releases, too many people overhype those releases, and it feels like marginal gains. I feel like the models from the last few months are good enough for my coding needs at least.

And after voting that out too... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back with a vengeance The Conservatives (EPP) are attempting to force a new vote TODAY (March 26) seeking to reverse the European Parliament's NO on indiscriminate scanning of ALL your private messages, emails and photos This is a direct attack on democracy and blatant disregard for your right to privacy If you're European contact your representatives now, with this handy form: fightchatcontrol.eu/?foo=bar… If not, please share this tweet so more people see it and we can block the vote It's crazy they keep just bringing back whatever they want until it's passed! Obviously now we see the European Commission is controlled by powerful evil lobbying groups 👺
Just a month later and... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back! Now they're trying to pass an even more far reaching ChatControl law through the back door, in a form even more intrusive than the originally rejected plan, without needing any of the EU countries votes The new proposal: - total mandatory surveillance of ALL text chats, emails and social media in the EU - obligatory registration of your ID/passport to your chat, email or social media account - minimum age requirement for chat, email and social media apps of 16 (!) The only way to stop this law is if EU countries veto it Read more here by @echo_pbreyer: patrick-breyer.de/en/chat-co…

frieren is interesting as a piece of art because it represents a synthesis of both tolkien and modern relativist morality. it rejects the modern orthodoxy of “everything is always shades of grey” in favor of the tolkien/c.s. lewis esque assertion that good and evil are real and that the choices one makes define a person. on the other hand, it rejects the classical ‘demonization’ view of morality where everyone who is evil is evil because they have viciously, foolishly and selfishly turned away from god’s light in favor of a much dimmer view: that some evil is just evil of its own nature. that it has always been evil, of no fault of its own. that evil is as much a child of god as good is, and that for all of this the course of action one is required to take in the face of evil is unchanged anyway.
One way I think Frieren could have done something more interesting with its premise was if Himmel was a more flawed/grey character and the idealized picture of him we see in Frieren's memories was a distortion showing how the passage of time leaves only the most positive memories

Tutto bellissimo ma cosa succede nell'Europa federale quando (la Germania e l'Olanda )ci dicono di liberalizzare i tassisti e tagliare i dipendenti pubblici ?

The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism. Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

In my day, critics denounced U.S. wars of choice as imperialist schemes to seize foreign oil - while the president insisted they were really attempts to spread democracy Now, critics denounce such wars as attempts to spread democracy - while the president insists they are really imperialist schemes to seize foreign oil
Q: "Why is running a country in South America 'America first'?" In his answer, Trump is explicit about Venezuela's oil resources: "We have tremendous energy in that country. It's very important that we protect it. We need that for ourselves, we need that for the world."
