The Supreme Court burns to the ground in Albania, Parliament and the Department of Education has been stormed, the Prime Minister is in hiding and the country is effectively in the hands of the rebels. Albania rejects blatant corruption and their country being sold.

The fact some people find a way to be mad about Bloodborne getting ported to PC after 11 years of consumers begging for it without a peep from Sony or FromSoft on the basis of it being "vibe-coded" is a testament to how irrational the staunchly anti-AI movement has become.
Sony wouldn't do it. So the community did. 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲: 𝗚𝗢𝗧𝗬 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is now live on 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 as a standalone PC release. Not an emulator setup. This is a pre-configured, 1-click repack of the 𝗯𝗯𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝘃𝟭.𝟵.𝟲) native PC recompilation. What’s included in the package: • 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗖 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Runs directly on x86-64 hardware via Vulkan • 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗢𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: Base game (v1.09) + The Old Hunters DLC • 𝟲𝟬+ 𝗙𝗣𝗦 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱: Bye-bye 30 FPS frame-pacing lag • 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Multiplayer features integrated • 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴: Pre-patched and ready to launch After 10 years of waiting, Yharnam is finally playable on PC without touching a console. Because someone didn't tirelessly decrypt the code line by line for years they're gonna turn their nose up at a beloved game becoming widely accessible with better quality-of-life for the first time & baselessly treat it & the person behind it with suspicion & contempt. Unserious

Now they're doing the same thing with the nemesis system, something which video game consumers have also begged to be implemented in more games but was strictly guarded by copyright patent law & went basically un-used for 10 years but God forbid someone use AI to decrypt the code

The French government has done it. They killed a street medic. He tried to tell them that he was a medic, that he wasn’t here to cause any harm, and they killed him. This needs to stop, the governments need to fall, the people need to wake up.
Qu’est-ce qui est arrivé là ?

Some of the goofiest tweets are the ones where someone made a thing using AI & then someone QRTs like "I made the exact same thing as this guy but without AI so you can enjoy it" cause they basically just wasted their time doing something that was already done for legit no reason

Like instead of using their time & skills to actually make something new they ironically have to copy the ideas of people who use AI. Especially funny when it's a drawing, like if it was "AI slop" before why go out of your way to recreate "slop" & barely change anything about it?

They just don't wanna admit they like the thing they're copying or wish they came up with it themselves because they have some kind of catholic shame complex about it so they waste so much pointless energy doing flips to arrive right back where they were before they did anything.

The freedom to exchange commodities cannot exhaust the meaning of freedom in a society where human beings themselves have so little collective control over the conditions of their existence. Capitalism already restricts what people can own, buy, sell, or use.
I’m deeply suspicious of Communists whose plan to liberate me includes a detailed list of voluntary transactions I’ll no longer be allowed to make.

can we start calling things human slop. i'm so sick of people acting like their code or math proof is inherently more valuable because they slaved away making it themselves. especially when the field is so fucking deterministic and we can actually check whether the result works. what gets me even more angry is when it's a thankless effort like oss. someone spends their valuable time making something for you, for free, and you think it's okay to criticize how they go about it and half the time, if they hadn't found an easier way to make it, the thing wouldn't exist at all. there isn't some "lovingly handcrafted" alternative waiting in the wings there's just nothing. each person being able to do way more means problems that wouldn't even have been given a thought can finally get solutions. somebody with a one-off bug in a game can go ahead and patch it themselves. somebody with a rare genetic condition could get together with a small group of people and have a real shot at contributing to research that nobody was prioritizing, without needing billions of dollars behind them just to get started. people can finally do things they couldn't do before, including things nobody else was ever going to bother doing for them, and your first instinct is to get mad about how they did it. i think that's so self-serving. when you'd rather something useful never existed than accept that somebody had an easier time making it than you would have, there's something genuinely ugly about that
Introducing Diorama: an OSS Minecraft minimap that shows your world in 3D, updating live as you build Huge shoutout to @8Blits, this is heavily inspired by his map for @HallowPrison 🙏 Out now on CurseForge for Fabric, Minecraft 26.3 & 1.21.11

As obviously talented as this guy is I feel like his style is a bit one-note. A lot of smoke and mirrors with sweeping camera movements and everything moving at the same wobbly fluid pace, impact frames as easter eggs for viral social media posts etc. Like we get it already.

Are anti-AI people really so tunnel-visioned theyre now dunking on James Cameron for not putting more effort into a twitter post he was probably pressured into making to congratulate Marvel for having the most profitable movie ever? Using his own work as reference too no less😭
same man who painted this in 1978 is posting AI slop that's crazy

It never really occurred to me that The Dark Knight, which is widely considered to be a conservative work, has more or less the same concept behind its ending of a "necessary lie" as Watchmen, which is widely considered to be a progressive work. Now discuss or something

I maintain that if AI is incapable of producing "art" by itself then that very fact necessitates a level of human input to transform it into "art" which precipitates various skills, taste & intent to be considered "good" work as that is still something we humans inherently desire
I’m never really worried about AI taking over, especially in anything that requires human expertise or creative skills. You could say it’s “technically impressive” I GUESSSS but the ppl already good at what they do have the skills to do it better regardless. 🤷‍♂️

Capital also plays a role in this as those who own it can consciously steer and influence the course of this development at a disproportionate scale, having both a monopoly on the necessary resources to organize production and on the spread and dissemination of ideas and culture.

This is why I always try to put the idea to the forefront that when people talk about art being threatened that they don't really mean art as human activity itself but an economic form of artistic production tied to exchange on the market & the specific class tied to that form.
