Today marks 1 year of freelance work. Made this image to celebrate the occasion. #b3d #Blender3d
Today Research Visualized celebrates one year as a company with a virtual #Golgi apparatus pancake stack. #pancakes #pancakeart #sciart Based on the data from doi.org/10.1186/s40709-018-0…
Fantastic animation from @janetiwasa. Make sure to take a look at the paper from @Henrykl_hankkl.

I illustrated ATP this week. I tried out a new material for atoms. Let me know what you think.
Need a little energy? Here is one molecule of ATP. You're welcome. #Biochemistry #Biology #b3d #SciArt
If you haven't seen it yet, @bradyajohnston has made a fantastic animation of #SARSCoV2. For the lipid membrane he used my lipid pack available from Blender Market. (blendermarket.com/products/l…) #SciArt #Lipid #b3d
Updated my render of COVID-19 with some dynamics, virion is now to scale, additional surface proteins and some really nice lipid models thanks to @JackScienceWalk . This took 12 hours to render on my computer so hopefully the compression is't too harsh #b3d
The product contains 30 atomically accurate lipids for building lipid membranes in blender. The model pack also includes lower-resolution lipid models for memory optimization. blendermarket.com/products/l…

My wife, who has taken health units at university, was surprised to find out that the kidneys are located behind the intestine. She asked for a turntable animation showing how the organs fit together. So I made one #Surprise #Biology #health #marriedlife #b3d
Where do the organs of the body fit in relation to each other? Watch this turntable animation showing the anatomy of the Digestive and Urinary system. #anatomy #guthealth #SciArt #b3d #Blender3D
After seeing @RibosomeStudio @dsgoodsell and @Mecovisuals illustrate the novel #coronovirus I had to give it a go as well. #b3d
Visualization of the novel #coronavirus from Wuhan. For reliable information on the virus, please visit cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nco… #SciArt Model based of SARS structural information and #nCoV electron tomography data.
This weeks exercise involved simulating the process of viral assembly. This effect was achieved using rigid body simulations in Blender 3D. PDB ID: 2buk #Blender #b3d #microbiology
A brief behind the scenes look. I rigged the protein with an armature. Then built a ragdoll for rigid body physics simulation. I constrained each bone in the armature to its corresponding part of the ragdoll. A turbulence force was used to move the ragdoll.

It's been a pleasure to work with @JoelPMackay and @squarecell to make this animation. Be sure to check out the paper to learn more. tinyurl.com/y6khexp7
To go with our pre-print describing the mechanism of nucleosome sliding by CHD4 ( tinyurl.com/y6khexp7 - with @van__Oijen ), we had an animation made by SquareCell @squarecell to describe the mechanism - inspired by @janetiwasa's work. @Sydney_Science @SydneySOLES
Today I tried rigging a human skeleton in #b3d using the rigify addon. In order to see how the rig turned out, I had the skeleton pose as a bird. Enjoy.
I'm releasing a new animation later today on how your liver processes alcohol. #SciArt #alcohol #biochemistry #b3d
Decided to model, texture and render some #Pharmaceutical packaging. #SciArt Made today using #Blender3D
