I'm keeping this quote for eternity.
"Aim high, jump the fence, yeah. Just make sure you are not setting the bar too high."

We're adding a new "Whitepapers" section to our website discussing topics related to #eventdrivenarchitectures, #eventsourcing, and related topics. The first is a work by @JYCabello on abstractions for system integrations in event sourcing. boosterframework.com/whitepa…

This week, @JYCabello published this whitepaper on safe #integrations in #eventsourcing systems. He not only shows specific algorithms that you can use right away, but even proves them valid using #TLA+.
Integrations with third party services or other #microservices are a frequent source of challenges and errors, and having patterns like these could save a lot of time and struggle.
The algorithms have been documented to be usable from any programming language or framework, but we're planning to build the proposed abstractions in @boostthecloud to make them transparently available with nice-to-use interfaces.
It's a #longread, but if you work with an #eventdrivenarchitecture, it's totally worth it. Let us know your thoughts!

Not every device has to be as easy to repair as the Steam Deck, I'd love that, but I'd settle for some ease.
I'm replacing the battery of one of my kid's tablet, and I'm using a tool meant to remove painted paper from the wall, I'm using all my strength, and I'm struggling.
Here we go again, modelling an optimistic lock algorithm for integrations that have a 2+ step process.

Starting right now!
Around 12 AM Amsterdam time I will be streaming more formal methods.
The goal is to prove an algorithm for optimistic concurrency handling in integrations with systems that have two step processes to be correct.

This is part of a whitepaper in the works at The Agile Monkeys that aims to provide an abstraction to integrations in event sourced systems as part of a bigger effort in turning Booster Framework into the ultimate Event Modelling framework.
