🔹 L'excellence mécanique allemande et le Mittelstand (le puissant réseau de PME sous-traitantes) sont sauvés.
🇫🇷 La contrepartie française : Protectionnisme et Nucléaire
Paris n'a pas signé de chèque en blanc. En échange de cet assouplissement, la France a arraché 4 victoires stratégiques majeures :
🔹 La sauvegarde de la voiture populaire : Maintenir des citadines hybrides abordables (Renault, Peugeot) pour éviter une crise sociale brutale sur la mobilité (le spectre des Gilets Jaunes).
🔹 Le "Buy European Act" : L'Allemagne, historiquement hostile au protectionnisme par peur des représailles, accepte un front commun européen contre le dumping automobile chinois (éco-conditionnalité, barrières tarifaires).
🔹 La "Vallée de la batterie" sécurisée : Les milliards investis dans les gigafactories françaises (Hauts-de-France) sont garantis par des quotas de flottes d'entreprises et une préférence pour les cellules européennes.
🔹 Le triomphe de l'atome : L'Allemagne lâche du lest sur le nucléaire. L'électricité atomique est reconnue pour produire l'hydrogène "bas carbone" indispensable aux futurs e-fuels automobiles.
🛑 L'Allemagne sauve son génie mécanique, la France protège son marché populaire et impose son modèle électrique. L'Europe 🇪🇺 passe enfin à un pragmatisme de survie : la transition écologique se fera, mais pas au prix d'un suicide géopolitique.

An important study that deserves to be shared as widely as possible within the English-speaking world.
Last night, our friends at the *Militarnyi* portal published an English-language article containing a technical analysis of the onboard computer from a Russian jet-powered drone—the "Geran-4."
Of the 105 components identified, 80 come from American companies; Texas Instruments alone (including components from National Semiconductor, which was acquired by TI in 2011) accounts for 58.1% of the total.
In short: this points to a systemic reliance on Western electronics in this Russian attack drone.
For this reason, we have created a separate English-language "quote tweet" with commentary, in which we have tagged @TXInstruments directly.

Our experience in disseminating such investigations shows that it is crucial to bring these findings to light beyond the Ukrainian "information bubble." They need to be seen by the manufacturers themselves, as well as by journalists, analysts, sanctions experts, American policymakers, and export control specialists.
Regardless of the current policy of the White House, the United States is much more than just a single administration or a single president. They include Congress, the media, industry experts, manufacturers, and government institutions—all of whom can raise the question of how American electronics end up in Russian attack drones on such a large scale. Therefore, such revelations must continue.

Vasili Mitrokhin (1922-2004), a Soviet KGB archivist who secretly copied and compiled thousands of classified intelligence files during the Cold War...
Every evening between 1972 and 1984, a quiet, bespectacled archivist named Vasili Mitrokhin walked out of the KGB’s foreign intelligence headquarters in Moscow with crumpled slips of paper tucked into the soles of his shoes. Past armed guards, metal detectors, and internal security checkpoints, the fifty-something bureaucrat flashed his pass and stepped out into the Moscow cold. Under his arm sat no classified briefcase; in his pockets lay nothing suspicious. But stuffed into his socks and underwear were minute, handwritten notes detailing the Soviet Union's deepest global operations: assassination directives, illegal networks, foreign political bribes, and clandestine weapons caches buried across NATO territory. For over a decade, while the most paranoid surveillance state on earth hunted Western moles, an unassuming clerk was methodically stealing the entire KGB archive from the inside out.
Mitrokhin had spent his early career as an undercover operative in the Middle East before an ideological clash saw him sidelined to the archive section of the First Chief Directorate. Disillusioned by Nikita Khrushchev’s 1956 denunciation of Stalin’s terror and permanently radicalized by the brutal 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia, Mitrokhin viewed the Soviet apparatus as a criminal conspiracy against humanity. In 1972, fate handed him the keys to the kingdom: the KGB began transferring its vast foreign intelligence archives from the cellars of the Lubyanka to a new, sprawling complex at Yasenevo. Mitrokhin was assigned the monumental task of cataloging, verifying, and sealing roughly three hundred thousand secret files.
Working entirely alone in windowless vaults, surrounded by decades of operational espionage, Mitrokhin began his silent counter-revolution. Because photocopying machines were strictly guarded and heavily audited, he copied files by hand onto scraps of paper, transcribing names, operational code words, dead-drop locations, and cipher systems in microscopic handwriting. At the end of each workday, he concealed the stolen notes on his body and walked through the security checkpoints without raising suspicion.
Back at his modest family dacha outside Moscow, Mitrokhin spent his nights transcribing the scribbles onto an ordinary typewriter. He packed the carbon copies and typed sheets into steel milk churns, tin trunks, and aluminum containers, sealing them with tar paper. Late at night, beneath the floorboards of his dacha and under the flowerbeds of his garden, he dug deep pits and buried the metal containers, carefully tamping down the soil so not even his wife suspected what lay below. By the time he retired in 1984, Mitrokhin had assembled over twenty-five thousand pages of KGB history, creating the single largest unauthorized intelligence breach in Soviet history.
When the Soviet Union collapsed in late 1991, Mitrokhin knew his hour had arrived. In early 1992, carrying a sample of handwritten notes hidden in his luggage, he boarded a train to the newly independent Baltic states. In Estonia, he walked into the United States Embassy in Tallinn offering to trade his secret archive for political asylum; the CIA officer on duty dismissed him as a crank peddling forged documents and turned him away. Undeterred, Mitrokhin traveled to Riga, Latvia, and walked into the British Embassy. There, an MI6 officer took one look at the authentic operational codes, poured Mitrokhin a cup of tea, and recognized the intelligence discovery of the century.
Within months, British intelligence exfiltrated Mitrokhin and his family to the United Kingdom. Soon after, under the noses of Russian security forces, MI6 operatives quietly entered his Moscow dacha, pried up the floorboards, and dug up six heavy milk churns and trunks packed with thousands of classified pages.

Saeimas komisija ir lūgusi ceturtdienas parlamenta sēdes darba kārtībā iekļaut likumprojektu par Divjas Kananas Višvanatas atzīšanu par Latvijas pilsoni un virzīt to izskatīšanai steidzamības kārtā. Komisija rosina likumprojektu izskatīt pirmajā lasījumā jau tajā pašā Saeimas sēdē bez atkārtotas skatīšanas komisijā. Tāpat komisija aicina likumprojektu atzīt par steidzamu.

Broadly speaking, European politicians and parties (national & EU) fall into these three categories:
- Centrists busy administrating a falling system and reacting to geopolitical chaos like deer frozen in the headlights of a car.
- Right Wingers promising the good old days will return if we just get rid of all foreigners, weaken the EU and submit to Trump & Russia
- Leftists who are torn between promises of an increasingly unaffordable welfare state and rising Islamo-Leftism, Third-World grievance and ethnic voting bloc logic.
All of these are either trying to prop up a dying system doomed to fail out of nostalgia or nationalism - or to redistribute its corpse according to a distorted sense of revenge masquerading as justice.
Europe deserves better! Where are the visionaries? The builders & leaders? The positive vision for a strong and prosperous Europe, based on resilience, realism and a love of Europe and its people?
Not mere defensive reaction to a harsher world, but a promise to future generations. A strong economy and wealthy citizens, a industrial powerhouse and military power no one will mess with and a power respected and admired.
Europe needs to get its hands dirty again and make hard, imperfect choices. It is useless to talk about human rights, democracy and the rule of law if you don't have the strength and willingness to enforce them against their external and internal enemies.
We need European visionaries, and that starts by being proud to be European as well as all of our beautiful national and regional identities. Being proud about all our past achievements & contributions to mankind - and being conscious of our failures without them paralysing us. We live in places drenched in 100s or 1000s of years of history and civilisation, and we have overcome worse & gotten stronger.
Europe is more than a peninsula in the Atlantic, it is a promise of a future worth living for. A place where you serve neither state nor oligarch, where you are free and safe. Its a promise people in Ukraine and Georgia are fighting and dying for.
We deserve politics that do more than just timidly administrate our decline, turn us to Russian or American vassals or are actively trying to turn our continent into a Third World failed state while erasing or culture and history.
