The GOP is so pro life that 192 of them voted against baby formula yesterday.

Democrats’ attempt to codify the right to abortion went down 49-51. We should immediately drop a bill codifying the right to use contraception. Make Republicans vote on that one! Let’s go on offense for a change!

BREAKING: Chuck Schumer announces that Democrats will force a Senate vote next week to codify abortion rights into federal law — meaning Republicans who vote against it will have to put their radical anti-choice opinion on the record for all to see. RT IF YOU SUPPORT THE VOTE!

50 senators could preempt this decision tomorrow by ending the filibuster and enacting the Women's Health Protection Act.

Just a reminder that from 2014-2018, Elon Musk paid an effective tax rate of 3.27%. The average working family pays an average tax rate of 13%. It's time for a wealth tax in this country.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The denominator for the 3.27% tax rate includes unrealized capital gains. While they do represent wealth growth, capital gains are only legally required to be taxed in the U.S. when they are realized. Using only the denominator of taxable income, Musk's tax rate was ~27%. apnews.com/article/person…

The Denver program to send social workers instead of police (STAR) has responded to over 2,200 calls low-level/intox/MH calls. They have never called for police back-up due to a safety issue. Never. Think about that.

I just learned that if a hermit crab finds a new shell that is too big it will wait for other hermit crabs who need new shells to gather and then they will organize themselves by size and trade shells and I am pissed that the crabs have a better housing market than we do

No coincidence that the last 3 Democratic Presidents following Republicans had to reverse a Recession and enact Recovery and Rescue plans. Republican policies "rescue" the rich — but devastate the jobs market and crush working families' prospects. Every. Single. Time.

American oil companies can pump more oil and drive down costs for hardworking Americans—they just choose not to in order to pad their own profits. It's unacceptable.
