I don’t think they will bother with shitty gov feeds like DI ETL today. Ultimately, we are disappearing into a blackhole anyway so se la vee or whatever.

Call me a doomer but I think software engineering as we know it is going away. We’re moving from being the whole assembly line to tuning the machine that assembles the product. By nature, we’ll definitely see fewer software engineering jobs because there is only a finite amount of software people actually need. If you want to survive, you gotta be expanding your skill set significantly.

There will always be more job.
Opus 5.5 can do your job. And mine. And I mean that for a wide swath of knowledge workers - not just programmers. So the fact that we are still employed means that either this fact isn't broadly realized, or there is far more to "job" than just the output.

Jeff Bezos says AI could let Americans support a family working just three days a week. He also predicts more single-income households, and even a labor shortage instead of mass job losses. Amazon has cut about 30,000 jobs since late 2025.

When is it going to be out of beta? And do you see a time where WebMCP will merge with MCP and your agent will just auth in and use a web app WebMCP instead of needing remote MCP connectors etc?

My favorite part of voting is how it doesn’t matter, but when the clearly liberal people are like “Get out and vote” clearly they mean for their side. Moral of the story is always take the opposite side of that.
