Really proud to be a part of the MSR mission! My amazing team’s hardware (the CCRS End Effector) is shown (partially) operating on the orbiter 1:16-1:20 🚀🦾🛰️ – at Los Angeles, CA
Mars Sample Return would be one of the most ambitious campaigns ever attempted in space. But bringing those samples to Earth will be no easy feat, requiring multiple spacecraft to pick up the samples, launch off the Martian surface, and ferry them back to our planet.

One barrier to building robots like we see in sci-fi is the cost of precision gears. Metallic glass, combining the best properties of both, now helps build those gears for a steal. That could improve Mars rovers – and drop the cost of robots at home too. go.nasa.gov/3ycvvf3

📡 A radio telescope… on the Moon? One of our robotic technologist's ideas for turning a lunar crater into a parabolic dish got @NASAIAC grant money for further research. It would involve bots stringing wire mesh inside a crater on the Moon’s far side. go.nasa.gov/3d07gbL
