I returned to New York City for a couple of weeks after 9/11 to search for my mother even though I knew that was going to be fruitless, to clear out her apartment and hold her memorial. On one of the last days I was going to be in the city I was riding on the B train which goes over the East River on the Manhattan Bridge. All eyes were toward Ground Zero where the towers used to be and all that was left was ruins and smoke. I was riding toward Midtown Manhattan to file for my mother's death certificate at the Jacob Javits Center and I was reading articles in the newspaper about the fallen firefighters. Of course I was sympathetic for their families because their loved ones had died trying to rescue people like my mother. Still I was asking God in my heart who would tell her story since I I believed and was later able to confirm that she had remained behind to help her friend who had trouble walking. When I finally reached the center I stalled going in because it made things so final and I was approached by Andrea Peyser from the New York Post who interviewed me about my mother. I had just asked God who would tell my mother's story and it turned out it was going to be me!

Been watching this YT channel for years and this is def one of the saddest ones I've seen. A veteran suffering from psychosis eventually sniped on his balcony after a standoff and he emerged with an AR-15 and sniper takes him out followed by 3 shots from AR-15 swat rifleman from below.

There is an increasing tendency of young-ish American leftist women to treat mental disorders as a political movement and as a justification for bad behaviors.
This trend is accelerating at an exponential rate.
The result is that many men are starting to see women in general as threats to civilization. The "repeal the 19th Amendment" jokes are starting to no longer be jokes.
I do not believe any man or group of men can fix this.
The only solution, I believe, is for older (like over 40) women of power and influence to vocally and actively combat this phenomenon at every level and to hold these younger women to account for their aberrant behaviors, at every level: in the workplace, in the schoolhouse, in the government, in the media and at the national level.
This trend is an ominous one and it needs to be reversed before it is too late.

PFC. Jeremy Church Army Reserve
April 9, 2004. Iraq.
PFC. Church was driving the convoy commander's HMMWV when his convoy was hit by more than 150 insurgents. The convoy was caught in a four-mile kill zone.
Church drove through the ambush while firing his M16, got the convoy commander to safety, then went back into the kill zone with a recovery team. Once there he found wounded soldiers and civilian drivers, provided aid, and carried wounded men through enemy fire.
When the recovery vehicles were full, Church volunteered to stay behind. He climbed into a disabled HMMWV and continued engaging the enemy until the recovery team returned. His actions that day saved the lives of at least five soldiers and four civilians.
For his actions that day, Jeremy Church received the Silver Star. Becoming the first Army Reserve Soldier to receive the award for actions during the Global War on Terrorism.

It's been 2 years since you moved on to your next adventure. Your brother Roy has been keeping alive the channels mission of giving normal folks good information on firearms and what to consider when making decisions on what would work best for them.
Your wife is doing well and thriving. Your children are healthy and making lives for themselves.
The Crew still keeps in contact on our group chat. Periodically some of us get together and shoot or in Roy and Saul's case, make a joint YouTube video.
Now for your fans.
They miss you. They still post the memes and lament your passing. You had really no idea how much you were loved by all of these fine folk. The memes were f'ing epic. Not that you were much into social media or the memes. You'd likely just roll your eyes as you often did.
Anyway. We all are saying thank you on this day, partly because you would never tell anyone when your birthday was so this is the day. 😂

A significant number of Gen X veterans entered service when the force was still postured against communism. The post-9/11 wars came after most of our careers. We are not the same generation. We were raised without soft treatment and without concern for feelings—just a mandate to accomplish the mission. That mindset prepared us for hard fights. We do not back down and we do not quit.

Gun Culture 3.0 has such a beautifully complicated relationship with photos like this.
First everyone stares at the gear. Then someone reminds you, “Gear doesn’t matter, training matters.” Then everyone immediately asks what plate carrier, rifle, optic and NODs they’re using.
The gear companies themselves will post about resisting government tyranny while their marketing proudly announces that they sell directly to government agencies. The customer who bought the kit to defend himself from the government will then explain that he chose it specifically because the government uses it. Ideally it also needs Berry compliance, an NSN, or some other government stamp of approval before he trusts it for his hypothetical fight against said government. Hilariously enough this type of person usually also works for them as well.
And police occupy an equally bizarre position in the culture. Militarized police are jackbooted thugs preparing to confiscate your guns, right up until there’s a shooting and police don’t immediately assault the building, at which point they’re useless pussies restrained by liberal politicians.
Then we return to “training matters,” which usually means buying the exact equipment worn by the people we’re simultaneously idolizing, criticizing, preparing to fight, demanding protect us, and accusing of being over-equipped.

Did a bit of research on this yesterday.
This shootout happened right in front of a Flock camera.
There are 17 other flock-style cameras within a one mile radius of this event. The police have zero suspects, and have made zero arrests almost four days later. Some are owned by Motorola, some are owned by Flock Safety, and some are owned by Axon.
@Flock_Safety and like-minded systems are not about protecting citizens or enforcing the law. They are an attempt to nationalize the HOA system to increase non-tax related revenue from minor infractions in complete violation of every American's 4th Ammendment right.
Your local government doesn't seek to take criminals off of the street. It seeks more money from your wallet now that taxation has reached its natural cap, and the "ALPR" system is how they've elected to increase revenue from fines.
This will become more insidious when city governments start selling off that revenue to foreign nations for fast budget bumps, like when Chicago sold their parking meter revenue over 75 years to Abu Dhabi in 2008.
With a government run surveillance system this large, it should be impossible for crime like this to go unpunished for longer than 12 hours. Since we are not seeing that level of security, we should all believe instead that the system is not about security at all. City and state officials pushing ALPR cameras need to be removed from their office by any means nessecary.

As far as we understand, the guy who engaged the mass shooter in Idaho was running an FN Five-seveN with an Axiom suppressor and seemingly trains or at least dabbles with Center Axis Relock.
This is the kind of guy a lot of you would’ve made fun of if his training videos were circulating a week ago.
Maybe the better takeaway is that instead of the constant optimization fetishization that gets pushed, we should accept that once your gear is inside a reasonable performance envelope, the practical application of skill under pressure is what actually matters.
It’s all LARP until it isn’t and reality doesn’t care about your pursist approved set ups.
