"We need to be ready" you say? Ready for what exactly? People like you have whipped up scores of people into a bloodthirsty frenzy. To the point where tens of millions of Americans now think violence is justifiable against people they politically disagree with.
Yes, tens of millions.
The fever is higher than any other point in the history of the United States by raw numbers. This includes the period just before the American Civil War.
It is because of you and your ilk. You cried havoc for so long that people believed you. Now look where we are. And you continue to spew media bullshit to drive everyone further into the abyss.
Now the Republic has turned to dry timber, and all it's waiting for is a few crazies willing to strike the match.

Sit outside if you can, listen to the birds, watch the sun come up, and enjoy a few minutes where nobody needs anything from you. May 3, 2012 Zabul Province, Afghanistan.
SGT. Joseph Stout was with 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division when an Afghan unit came under heavy Taliban attack.
The Afghan soldiers were taking casualties and losing ground. Stout and three other American Soldiers went in. What followed was a nine hour fight.
Stout moved through dense vegetation under enemy fire, helping rally the Afghan soldiers and coordinate the fight. Once he advanced within hand grenade range of the Taliban positions, SGT. Stout identified and marked enemy locations so American attack helicopters could engage them while avoiding nearby civilians. Stout stayed forward, helping the Afghan force regain the initiative and evacuate its wounded.
For his actions, Sgt. Joseph Stout received the Army Commendation Medal with Valor.

You could spend 12 hours outside the wire, come back covered in that fine-ass moon dust, and still have another hour of cleaning your weapon.
Your boots were full of it. Your gear and weapon were full of it. Your mouth somehow tasted it.
And God forbid you were the last truck in the convoy.
You weren't on patrol anymore. You were driving through a fucking bag of concrete mix. Couldn't see the truck in front of you, but you could damn sure taste it. 😂
Then you'd get back to the FOB, take the best shower of your life, and walk 50 feet back to your CHU.
CLEAN FOR A WHOLE 47 SECONDS!
And somehow, 20 years later, you can still shake that shit out of an old deployment bag.

The manual made it look easy.
In 1974, Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 5th SFG took rubber boats onto Mott Lake at Fort Bragg to practice boarding a U-10A Super Courier floatplane.
There was one immediate problem. Even at idle, the airplane moved at about 6–7 mph. The men had to paddle hard enough to stay alongside, then climb from a bobbing rubber boat onto the aircraft’s floats and into the cabin.
That was in shorts, T-shirts, and tennis shoes. They hadn’t added weapons, radios, or rucksacks yet.
The exercise exposed how much work separated a capability described in a field manual from one a team could actually use. Landing the plane on a lake turned out to be the easy part.
