Been wanting to get more into the #WritingCommunity, so I thought I’d do a thread on the book I currently #amquerying—A War for Hope. Welcome to Xandos, a world where Gods walk among people, and their thousand-year-old feuds threaten to decimate humankind. #WriterLift

Went 5-3 at Sydney Regionals. Didn’t play great in my losses, and probably ends my worlds hopes, but at least I got to be the first person in the world hit by Fissure Ting-Lu on stream!

Team I used to get Top 32 at OCIC 2023. Credit to @AllyVGC for building the team that was the basis for this one (and writing a great team report). Happy to finally make day 2 after just missing out in the last two OCIC’s. pokepast.es/4fa8dbe56d22a1c9

#BREAKING The NRL has conceded Stephen Crichton scored a try for @PenrithPanthers against @SSFCRABBITOHS that was ruled 'no try' incorrectly.
As a young white male who wants to be a writer, I feel well positioned to say that this is a terrible take. The fact that women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks are not being as wilfully ignored so that opportunity can fall at my the feet of people like me is a good thing, actually.

(a friend who is a literary agent told me that he cannot even get editors to read first novels by young white male writers, no matter how good; they are just not interested. this is heartbreaking for writers who may, in fact, be brilliant, & critical of their own "privilege.")
