I took the map of Nashville power outages (as of 4pm) posted by NES and made it a little clearer by overlaying major roads:
This map highlights restoration efforts since Sunday. Areas where power has been restored are marked in green, while areas still experiencing outages are indicated in red as of 1.28.26 at 4 p.m.
Our teams are navigating tough conditions and broken poles, working extended shifts to ensure the quickest possible response. We know the wait is difficult, but we see you, we hear you and we won’t stop until everyone is green.

#NESOutageAlert January 25 9am
The combination of freezing rain and ice has impacted the NES service territory overnight, with trees being weighed down by ice causing them to snap and take down power lines.
Right now, more than 188,000 customers are currently without power. Our teams are fully staffed and already in the field assessing damage and beginning repairs, and contract crews have been called in to assist. This will be a longer outage which could span over days or longer. We have additional resources through mutual aid and supplemental crews on their way. As of 7 a.m. this morning we have 120 NES lineworkers, and 40 contracted lineworkers. This evening, we will have 80 lineworkers mobilizing to Nashville and another 75 planned to arrive at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
Since yesterday, crews have been operating in continuous rotations, and they will remain on extended 14–16‑hour shifts to ensure we can continue responding to outages quickly. We ask that everyone stay away from downed power lines, and to always assume they are live and dangerous.

Announcement: Antioch High School is on a lockdown due to shots being fired inside the school building. Metro Police are on the scene. The person responsible for shooting is no longer a threat. We will be gathering students in the auditorium and will provide information on reunification as soon as possible.
This is an active crime scene and investigation. We will work with the MNPD to provide further updates as they become available.
