I recently visited Amache, a former Japanese Incarceration camp in Colorado. There, I met with survivors and descendants to learn from and bear witness to the trauma that has haunted this community for generations.
Today, @POTUS will sign the Amache National Historic Site Act, helping to preserve, protect, and interpret the incarceration of civilians of Japanese ancestry during World War II at the Granada War Relocation Center, known to incarcerees as Camp Amache.

The imprisonment of 120,000 innocent Japanese Americans during WWII cannot be forgotten. We're so proud that CAPAC leaders @RepJudyChu & @RepMarkTakano are @ the WH as @POTUS signs a law making the Amache prison camp a federal historic site. Education is one way to #StopAsianHate
